Knicks · The Playoffs is the ultimate thruth teller... (page 1)

TD was exposed...Not a good heady player, overrated defender and playing out of position...
Fields was exposed..Not a starter, over matched at the position, has lots of work to do...
MDA...Not a good X and O's man...No game recognition for what's working...Doesn't use his time outs well...
Melo..has to get in shape next year...Shot selection is suspect...Didn't drive enough and relied on the three way too much..
Amare..Pass( played with heart after the injury)
Shawne Williams...a gamer and needs to come back...
Jeffries...If he comes back, it's very telling on where we are as an organization...
ACarter..Played with heart, 37 year old PG isn't happening...
Billups..A classic chucker...Still hasn't figured out the PnR...Takes bad shots in the clock..at 14 mil per no thanks...
Sheldon Williams...Didn't see enough of you...Coach couldn't find time for you..who knows..
Turiaf...Let me know when he is healthy...
Rest of the guys can get a stepping...

I have no problem with guys coming back for the MINIMUM salary. Only person I would pay 3 million a year too is Shawne Williams.

I do want to see what Derrick Brown can do next year as Amare's PF backup.

If Brown only gets offered the minimum from us after having not played with no guarantee to get minutes next year he's easily lost to another team. Matter fact even with us owning his bird's rights other teams have an edge after how he was handled since being picked up off waivers. Not difficult beating a minimum offer

Even tho we lost it was very educational for management to see. Tho it's not like we didn't already know what our needs were. A real PG, SG and C. They don't have to focus on anything else at this point. Walsh knew that coming into the playoffs

The only conclusion you could draw about Billups from the playoffs is that he's old and injury-prone

Agreed.

Amare- No defense. An old Garnett took him to school. Yes he was injured but he looked healthy today. Refs saved him a few times when he went into traffic and heaved shots when he made contact and was off balance.
Melo- Scores and doesn't defend. Is still overweight. Doesn't make other players better in any way.
A.C.- Where you been hiding? Great game!
Toney Douglas- Used to be one of my favorites. Afraid of Rondo or worships him apparently. Wouldn't get in his grill.
Rest of team-Came and went- Williams and Walker are athletic but don't defend. Fields fell apart. Turief- limited but like his energy.

The TEAM defense is terrible. Horrible Rotations.

That's a product of the coach

Actually I have no issues with this, I think it's pretty fair summary. I did like Bill Walker though, as long as he is cheap, he can be useful. Not really disappointed with Fields either..Ray Allen is not exactly an easy assignment.
