Memphis blew it with Thabeet.
Injury happens. Rudy Gay.
Pundits all over said they got hosed and gave away Pau.
And yet they stand as one of the upcoming exciting teams with assets.
My point?
Hope.
I believe that building a team with strong talent + chemistry is 80-90 percent luck and 10-20 percent brains.
memphis should have had traded that second pick and get a high player in return....can rudy guy return this playoffs?

Than take Thabeet?
Of course. Perhaps they'd be a true contender if so. Many combinations to consider. Maybe a better player and package him with Mayo maybe gets you that one player you really need?
My point is it appears Memphis is still succeeding despite injury and blowing it on Thabeet.
They traded Pau but it opened up financial flexibility.
We microanalyze the knicks and often look at the missteps without consideration many teams that are succeeding do it too.
people hated the gasol trade because people always thought it was gasol for kwame brown
