SupremeCommander - If Faried does NOT play center, what position are you suggesting for Faried in the Knicks rotation with Carmelo and Amare on the floor?
Or are you suggesting him only as a reserve?
Draftnet updated their mock today and have Morris going at 14 to Houston. They have the Knicks taking Singleton. Vucevic is going in the second round to the Nets in their latest mock.

They also have Shumpert on the board very late 2nd(54)....red flag if he's supposedly killing it in workouts according to Fraud. They have Kanter #1 overall...red flag

yeah, that mock draft is whacky. Knicks need a C, PG and they choose Singleton with the likes of Biyombo still available? That dude would be perfect compliment to Amare at C.

The 'hi-light' of that site is the measurements database. Other than that they seem as clueless as anyone else on the internet. No way to tell with all the 'raves' who is real and who is blowing smoke. This year a bunch of guys didn't test everything so even their best feature means less this year.

I didn't notice Biyombo still available. I heard he is top 5.

not sure about top 5, but certainly top 15. And hey, if he falls to 17 I think it would be awesome for the Knicks.
I think there are questions about his age, but who cares. If he can play like Ibaka, it would be a god-send for a team like the Knicks.

I have only seen videos of Biyombo but he looks like a special player. He also looks like just what the Knicks need. If they can get him in the draft I would be ecstatic.
I don't know if it's true but if Shumpert had a good shooting display for the Knicks that may just clinch the deal, cuz he already was known to be a Lockdown defender and freak athlete with SG size and PG skills. The only real question was his shooting. If he showed that, my bet is that Donnie will lock in on this kid. He also seems to be humble and smart, from the interviews i've watched. We all know that the Knicks need a defensive PG in addition to everything else and he's the best at it, so maybe this kid is a target of the Knicks. He's got the size of Darius, but also the freak athletic ability and length.

Chad Ford at the Euro Camp said he surveyed a bunch of gms informally and they said they see Biyombo going 10-20.

Biyombo is also behind Ibaka offensively as well. I saw a replay a few days ago of the Nike Hoop Summit where Biyombo dominated. He was a best on defense, but his points mainly came off of dunks and putbacks. I have no problem with that, but you have to be a little concerned about his ability to do that against NBA level players. That said, I have to look long and hard at taking him if he's still on the board. NBADraft projects him still being available when we pick, while DraftX has Donatas Motiejunas going to us at 17. I'd be extremely happy if either guy is still available when we pick.
I just read that Biyombo just had some awful workouts or displays of offense over the past day or so in some Euro camp everyone is attending. Prob moved him solidily into the 10-20 round as Crush suggests. Also 6'8" without shoes. So maybe not C material after all, or at least not a regular sized one.

Measurements just handed out here at the EuroCamp. Bismack Biyombo 6-8 w/out shoes, 7-6 wingspan, 9-4 standing reach, 245 lbs, 4.2% body fat I got some pretty good video of Biyombo's workout in Treviso today. Uploading to youtube now. Will post later tonight. #EuroCamp about 9 hours ago
NBA exec: "People who liked Biyombo already won't change their opinion after this today. But those who were skeptical will be even more now"
Biyombo just shot more jumpers in this workout than he will in his entire career. And he missed most of them. Don't understand the strategy.
I think Bismack Biyombo would have been better off playing one game of 5 on 5 to truly show the impact he can make. He's not a 1 on 0 type.
Despite the bad hands, the lack of skills & general polish, you still can't teach the agility & explosiveness Bismack Biyombo's showing here
Two minutes in and you can already tell that Bismack Biyombo is not a "workout guy". Looks very nervous, airballing layups.Really struggling
Smaller, move explosive version of Moz?

Well he is clearly a PF. Would be solid next to the Lopez's and Kaman's of the league.

I think he is only 18 and not done growing. Hopefully he ends up to be at least 6'10.
Biyombo has a 7-7 wingspan and blocked 2.3 shots a game in 17 minutes playing in Spain this past year. I don't remember the specifics of the video I watched of him but Austin Rivers was in it and Biyombo was so dominant and blocked 6 or 7 shots. I hope he falls because of this workout and the Knicks get him.

No one knows his true age. I dont want a low skill undersized guy with a low ceiling. We have some good options at 17, I'm not interested in Bismack at all. He hopped on the scene from 1 impressive game. I dont trust that.

You might be right about that Killa. Biyombo is intriguing because his strengths match our weaknesses to a tee. He excites me, but at the same I worry he might be more Yink Dare than Ben Wallce. It's hard to gauge a guy like that against weaker competition. At the same time, shotblocking and rebounding are usually skills that translate to the next level.
This quote from that NBADraft.net article caught my eye:
He did look extremely athletic exploding to the rim, as expected, and looked good running the floor despite dropping the ball a few times.
One scout said during the workout, "This is no different than that (Jeremy) Tyler kid that was here last year."
If that's the case, it might be worth the gamble to take best available player and try to get Tyler with another late first or early second round pick. It's a gamble because no one has a definitive clue how this draft will go. Some team might decide to snatch Tyler higher than any of the draft sites have him.

Its funny because his name correctly pronounced is Bismark.
This dude isnt even a 1st round pick on Chad Ford's or DraftExpress's.

Dude is probably getting exposed in workouts.
I buy that 2nd round pick off Miami and send them Douglas though. Someone good is going to slide into that 2nd round for sure.
