oh plz, Gallo went down, Mosgov went down, Felton got hurt,
Players Denver recieved
-------------------------------
Wilson Chandler
Gallo
Felton
Mosgov
Other Asset's we gave up
-------------------------------
Anthony Randolph - went to wolves, it's an asset we gave up
Curry - minny took his deal and gave back an exemption, went from playing
1 first round NY, 2 GS 2nd round * could be valuable almost like a early late 1st round*
The Gm didn't offer contract to their own players and the player's from the trade.
They played AMAZING last year.
They went from paying tax to going way under
They still have their own young players in
Birdman is still a nice player to have on the bench
Nene - he probably would have took a cheaper deal just to stay and for stability, in the start of 12m increase 5-6 years. or probably 50m 4 year deal, 42 3 year,
Jr Smith - they probably could afford to let him go. But he is a nasty scorer and after Melo is gone, he has the red light. I think he is a offensively even better than crawford
they both could get hot and jr smith has more athleticsim and is younger
Affalo
Lawson
I think they are looking are looking to tank all the way for this year's draft, they have competition with a couple teams, New Orleans, Bobcats?
At least look to gain value out out if Sign and Trades, with young players and draft picks.
Stern would have been very happy with the Knick's trade we gave for Melo, if we offered it to Cp3. We would have took back Ok4 as well.
Comparing what New Orleans was getting in return
Odom 1year 17m or 2 year, 2ndyear player option 34
Martin 2years 25m years almost 30
Dragic 1year 2m almost 27
Scola4year 40m almost 32
1 draft pick NY's
These are decent good players, but you don't want to rebuild with 30+ year old's. They get one pick from NY.
From a talent point of view, its pretty good. In a rebuilding situation, it's one a pretty bad deal.
The reason is taking young players, especially in Rookie contract's is because
1) you can still rebuild around them if they are worthy and wouldn't cost much, would have salary cap to do so.
2) a younger player has room to improve a ceiling. The chance of a 30 year improving is highly unlikely, but not impossible.
The chance of a players declining in that age, are pretty high. I have seen players go from All stars no 1year veteran minimums in a blink of an eye.
1 New Orleans must package Ok4, with Paul.
2) obtain young players, in their rookie contracts
3) attain asset, picks, are talent in players, they can either rebuild with and package in future
I believe LA Clipper's can offer the best package for Paul. I think they can at least either go for Paul or Dwight.
Clippers
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) UNPROTECTED TWOLVES 1st round pick for this summer
2) Their own pick in the future I would offer just a 2nd round, of course I expect them to recounter with another 1st rounder.
But ill ask back for Ariza or Jarret Jack. Probably Ariza
Mo Williams next year has 1 player option at 8m?
Kaman 1 year deal, played a couple of years at around 20/10 2block 1 steal
Bledsoe 4 years, last year is QO.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eric Goron
Randy Foye
Clippers starting line up
Cp3
Gordan
Butler
Griffen
Deandre Jordan
Foye G
Ok4 PF/C
Ryan Gomes SF
Aminu SF
either Ariza or Jack, I like Ariza more but both are great players. With Cp3 Foye and Gordan all being able to hold the rock. Jack is also a pretty good shooter though.
There are a couple of PG's coming out next year, so I would look for a back up there or keep Foye.
This is some under the radar team, kind of. They can go for Dwight if they wanted to as well. I think they have a better shot at landing Cp3 than Lakers but I don't think either will.
