The Answer Man Reports Late For Training Camp
Q. Martin - has our gov't declared jelly donuts a fruit yet for our precious school kids?
A. Not yet, but the Department of Agriculture HAS determined the Knicks organic frontcourt will make a few opponents sick to the stomach.

You expressed something I couldn't put into words when watching his interview.
I don't blame him for being surly. Did you hear what they asked him....it was like did ANYONE else want you. Not the type of question you ask then and there.
I have no problem whatsoever with Bibby, who has the courage to stand up for himself in the face of insipid questions. Beat reporters on a 24 hour cycle are more after a juicy headline than conveying useful analysis. Bibby a 14 year veteran, who has heard it all, could care less about being typecast... or being dissed before he plays one minute in orange and blue. Good for him. Good for us.
Hit the open man.
Miami was a bad fit for Bibby! They don't really use the PG. Miami needs an athletic defender at PG and that ain't Bibby. Here he can run PnR like the old days and take his wide open 3's. We'll probably play a type of zone when he's in there to help him on D.

wouldn't mind Felton, just wish he would stop eating those jelly donuts during the offseason.
I agree with you fully. I love the guy, but him using training camp to get into shape was very upsetting and also a red flag. I don't think it was a cowinkeedink that he hurt his back either, earlier in the season. When you are out of shape then suddenly going 100 MPH... that's bad news for your body, in many aspects.
I hope for his sake he used the extended offseason wisely. If not, then that could be career defining in a negative way.

blazersedge Ben Golliver
Nate McMillan on Raymond Felton's weight: "He's not where he wants to be... He's working hard... He'll get it down."

Martin - This morning on Good Morning America, Dr. OZ recognized jelly donuts as "The Breakfast of Champions"... which is exactly what our beloved Knicks would be with the tenacious and fearless Ray Felton at the controls.
You heard it here first.
has our gov't declared jelly donuts a fruit yet for our precious school kids? You know, cause of the grape content in the jelly?
ROFL. We've got a new president, and he's not in to this type of craziness.
Glad to hear that about Chandler. If there is one thing I dislike about Amar'e its that everytime I turn on the tv or read the gossip blogs he is there.
Here's some comments from SLAM Online writer from Camp:
Many fans and pundits disapproved of the Iman Shumpert draft pick based on his low shooting percentage and poor grasp of the point guard position at Georgia Tech. But, Shumpert will provide the Knicks with a spark off the bench and bring some much-needed defensive help to the team. When he and Douglas are on the floor together, they will wreak havoc on opposing backcourts.“I play both sides of the ball hard,” said Shumpert, “I do love to play passing lanes, I’m athletic, I got long arms, I’m always searching for pass deflections, always looking to help someone else out.” He has all the tools physically, and displayed a nice shooting touch from three-point range. Now, it’s a matter of whether he can put it all together and compete at the NBA level. I’m very high on this kid and believe that he will be a major contributor for the Knicks on both ends of the floor as the season progresses.
The word of the day seemed to be defense, and new assistant coach Mike Woodson was stressing the nuances of defense, stopping practice many times for teaching points. The Knicks were attacking on defense, something that has definitely been lacking during Coach D’Antoni’s tenure. If they take heed to Coach Woodson’s hard-nose defensive philosophy, they will make a lot of noise this season.
