Isn't this supposed to be a blind auction? Wouldn't it be a big disadvantage to the earlier bidders if they announce when bids go in? Stupid...

i think it was. Clippers won. in other words, Chauncey Billups will play for LAC. also, cannot be traded.

If he's serious about what he was saying he'll retire. But he aint retiring because I can't see him leaving 14 million dollars that hes not worth, on the table. And I say that with all due respect, I really like Chauncey.

Clippers now have their PG. New Orleans/the league asked the Clippers for too much so the Clips changed their strategy and got a different, very good veteran PG to run their team. They have the pieces to compete in the west and could make the playoffs.

even Gordan can play some PG.
Billup's signing to me, is a sign that they might save money to Amnesty Mo Williams or ready to package players in a deal. Cp3 should be a Clipper, if they want young players, and picks they got it. If they want Gordon, I wouldn't give them the Wolves pick and I won't take back Ok4's contract. In addition, I would ask for Jack or Ariza as well.
They are just going back n forth seeing who will give in. Cp3 would be great on Clippers with Griffen/Dandre Jordan I would keep Kaman on till deadline, to see if a trade presents itself. Cp3 will only make expand Blake's and Jordan's games.
New Orleans can get
3 draft pick's with with one being Wolves... and young player's and ability to tank will be open to at least one draft pick.
Can't fault them for prying Gordon away but Clipper's wont give up like the Knick's did. They know that they can offer the best asset's in terms of New Orleans future...

this is funny to me and a good bite in the ass for a guy who IMHO went a bit overboard with the retirement threats: Chauncey can't get traded until July. So that means he is stuck on one team for the season, exactly what he wanted (without the choice of being able to pick his destination team).
He's not on Miami, which is also perfect.
