Tyson also play'd great position defense and kept in front of Rondo on switch offs in a couple of those late possessions. He could have rebounded better but he was mostly out of position covering Rondo's easy penetrations. Pause

Its not that it was uninspiring. It was just alarming how bad our offense looks because we don't have a true point guard running the team. With Shump out, we need to sign a guard now, and I'd rather make it a PG. Fields and Douglas can handle the 2, but we need another PG to run this team.
Have to admit, the C's are still a great defensive team and they can easily get a run like the one they got on us against anybody else. With or without Pierce, they are always a team hard to beat. We showed a lot today in that last quarter, especially in the last minutes with many great defensive stops. We will improve defensively as the season progresses.
But a PG is a big need for us right now. BIG NEED!
But wait, we have Combo guards and Melo will run the offense. Nothing on Shumpy though, he played well. Damn even Bibby would have made us better on this game.

That's a Glaring hole but I really do believe Baron Davis is gonna have a strong season for us. He looks engaged..How can't you be motivated playing in MSG. Did u see how into the game he was.

I know, but a month out in this chaotic season means MANY significant games missed. We need a PG now. I don't mean a Nash pipe dream, but a real cheap PG that can run an offense. We just need stability on offense and in this system, a PG brings it.
so the next question is do we pick up gilbert arenas ?

Man people have to keep in perspective that this was the 1st game and it's coming after a short preseason. I didn't expect perfect execution against a GREAT defensive team in Boston. No one looks great against Boston. We all know that the PG spot was going to be a issue, but I also think they'll get better. I expect Bibby to play the next game and somewhat stabilize things a bit.
MAN i'm so upset about Iman. Just hope it's not as bad as it looked and he gets back soon. I thought Iman was playing well for his 1st ever NBA game.

First Gilbert, now Nate?! No thanks! neither of those are playmakers, and I think TD is better than both of them as at least he can play defense! What will be a problem is with Shumpert out, we lose scoring off an already poor at scoring bench. We need BD back ASAP- I'm amazed Stat got 21 points, he got no easy buckets as no one seems capable of creating shots for others- fortunately Melo is great at making something out of nothing.
It's great that we won, but Stat and Chandler need to rebound more, so does Fields.
Phew, stressful game- that 3rd quarter left me fuming (with Shumperts injury on top of everything that was going wrong!), but the 4th made up for it.
I liked that BD was vocal throughout, even taking on KG when he pulled his fugazy crap at the end! Pray BD heals quickly

MDA would be arrested for murder if you brought Nate back. He's just not the right player for our needs. There aren't a lot of PG's out there. We need to see if Bibby can settle things down a bit and by for a while. You can't just stick anybody in there and think he's gonna get it done.
Knicks finally closed out a game vs. the Celtics. Something they had just a little bit of trouble with last year

Melo was a monster, and a monster down the stretch, which is exactly what we need. The defense against Rondo was atrocious. They almost would let Douglas or Shumpert drive into traffic so that Rondo would be free in transition. It was ridiculous watching that happen over and over and over....
