You look at his body language and it's clear - he is sending the resumes.
After Walsh let go it was already clear that Mike will not be there.
And the Melo and Chandler deals as well as other bodies we get only proving this.
Time for both parties to move on

I thought his body language was the usual (aw shucks eli like). But I agree the team is not listening from observations.
I think when Amare was the lone alpha dog he kept the guys focused and listening to D'Antoni. I don't know that Melo every truly embraced. D'Antoni seems to have the most success when his best player is in his corner, communicating his message in the lockerroom and on the floor. I think the team is Melo's now and I don't think he is going to do that for D'antoni.
Great, so reality is now players dictating who the coach should be. But then why not, they're so maddeningly intelligent, they should probably also decide who the owners are, the refs, which fans should be let in the arena, what type of hot dogs to serve, team colors...

WTF are you talking about? Amar'e is still here and he's still a team leader. Moreover it's really the PG that is the coach on the floor and minus even a DECENT level of PG this team will struggle. None of these guys respect TD. Why should they? He's just a kid that clearly doesn't know what he's doing and has never done it. Players won't respect a guy like that and if B. Diddy gets back that would change. There's a respect level for him that TD just doesn't have.

I am not sure what your question is. If it is do I think this is more Melo's team than Amare's at this point, then I say absolutely. If its do I think D'Antoni needs a player to be a leader because he isn't, then yes I am saying that. Here's a question for you, WTF are you so defensive about? Nothing has changed and this stuff has all been brought up before.

Exactly! Melo and Amar'e are both Alphas...not a simple dynamic there. TD has shown the ability to run the plays. Notice the low turnover ratio. Being the guy to run those dogs on a leash is no easy task not even for an experienced point. Let alone someone who barely got off the bench as a point the first season. Melo at least seems to be trying to be cohesive and not demanding until the fourth. They looked good at times.
If I got paid like Stat I believe I would try to stay in front of/on my man a bit better. Don't and you'll soon hear the boos as well.
Bibby should not see the floor. Hopefully he is to be a coach or something for the youngun's

The style of play which makes Melo, Stat, and even Chandler elite players in NBA is not the style which maked Mike great coach in NBA.
I like Mike and his system and I like what Melo and Stat can bring.
But they just canceling so mich of the good things which all of them can bring to the Game that this is not even funny.
What a gigantic vaste of money and talent.
I think Knicks organization made the choise already and this is not Mike.

Didn't Stat play almost his entire career under Mike?
The issue is that Mike's offense demands a playmaking PG to make it run effectively. We do not have that now. We have a shooting guard and a top 5 scorer trying to run our offense. Of course it was going to be ugly.
From a coaching perspective I'm more concerned with the effort on defense than the effort on offense. I'm positive the offense will come around and be fine. The defense I think will always keep us from that elite level because 2 of our stars rarely play it, nad our coaching staff still has not been able to create even a mediocre plan. Not sure what it would take to get any of them(coaches players) to committ.

You cannot apply "who is not playing defense sit" here. Stat and Melo sit and all this tourist are exiting the building.
Coaches are helpless regardless... And coaches who cannot do business this way (good winning coaches) will never come to Dolans land.

today on postgame interview...
No fire/desire... This is one tired man.
He looks emotionally out of it already and probably counting the days...

This is a grueling schedule for everyone. I think MDA is into it and wants to see just how good this team can get. All coaches love to be in the thick of it and busy with a team that has a chance to win every night. D'Antoni will be just fine after a few more good wins. The close ones take years off your life.

hard to tell. i think he just doesn't like the media much (and don't forget, there's always an MSG employee around to make sure he doesn't give too candid an answer). but it doesn't seem like he'll be back next season unless the knicks make it to at least the eastern conference finals.

Nah!!! This team is into it. The guys are playing hard and by the end of the year it's gonna feel like a real team. Guys will be tight with each other and the coaching staff will be behind them. I think they'll all be kept for continuity if they have success and look like they're in line for a trip to the finals.

I agree
Oh wait. We won 3 in a row. Back to the "when will the parade be" threads.
Knick fans
mike needs to wear "happy ties"!
Wait, some of us don't like his manner in interviews?
Maybe the dude is not feeling well?
Maybe he is not happy with the teams down the stretch performance and not executing as they should?
Both Teams looked gassed in 4th period last nite.
They did not hit their foul shots and did not cover Nalods game picker. Mike is pissed!

completely agree with your observation on the Melo/Amar'e/
dynamic, though I'm unsure how it relates to personnel decisions...
As for Bibby, who's the replacement? Jeremy Lin? I'm happy to give Bibby at least until Baron Davis gets back. I'm also happy allowing him a chance to get to know the offense and have him play when the inevitable future Davis injury happens

Where do you come up with this?
You ever been to a practice? In the locker room? Or blind hate for MDA and fabricated ideas to promote it?
You can hate MDA all you want, just keep it relevant.

The only way Toney Douglas can run the plays is if the shot clock is changed to an hourglass.
Damn a turnover ratio. Does he makes the guys around him better, or worse?
