Bump!!!

smackeddog @ 1/14/2012 12:40 PM
It's been a month since he came- looks like all those rumours that he was faking it and would be back by MLK day were all bogus. Well it appears the target date is end of january, so thats only about 2 weeks to go.

I love this clip

Get well, get well soon, we want you to get well!

Baron Davis, after three years of wheeling and dealing, after signing two max contract players, the success of this franchise rests on you.

Come back, play good.

This bum isn't turning the team around.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

I think he will help TREMENDOUSLY. I think he has at least 2 years worth in the tank.

Still need to look at grooming his replacement.

Did you say groomed? Well, he does need a haircut but he'll be ready to step in next year. We all know he's closer to 40 than he is to 30 but he's putting up 12pts and 10 ast this yr. Not to mention 50% from the field.

And that 12 per game will creep up. The guy had a terrible start to the season.

Clips are great, but the issue is that by the time he steps on the Garden hard woods, he will be almost a year removed from NBA action. Add to that his age and the nature of this injury, you can see why I am hesitant to name him the Bomb-Diggity.

You mean Boom Dizzle!

I know Davis is out for his back but didn't Davis have issues with a cyst on his knee as recently as last season?

Yes, he has many problems. At this point in his career his physical years are not decreasing, but increasing; he will only get older.

What do you think he will drop?

I guess 8 points with 5 assists in 20 minutes.

15 points, 10 assists if you go by the posts about him here.

What is all this he hasn't played in a year crap. The guy played his last game on April 10th last season. He's basically just a little off from what everyone else. Some guys don't do much of anything over the summer in terms of playing ball. It's not as long of a layoff as it's being made out to be.

B. Diddy may start off a bit rusty shooting wise, but I have no doubt that he'll be able to setup our finishers at a high level. I get the distinct impression that people don't realize how good this guy can be. The only issue is whether he can heal and be pain free. IF HEALTHY, I have no doubt that he'll be just what this team needs. I also don't think he'll have to press as hard physically, given the talent around him. That should save his body.

We don't need him to score, just to distribute the ball.
