That was a management decision. You are right about what the coach needs and the team went for a center which the team also needed. I don't think the new management team is building the team around what they think will make the coach successful. However, if he is your coach you get him guys that can run what he does. He was left high and dry this year with the only option being adjust to the roster.

Thats why MDA will be fired for a more traditional coach and then if Amare/Melo don't improve they will be traded

Lot of hope going on on my part, just because of how catastrophic this team has been so far...but I'd love to hear which of these expectations are unreasonable.
Melo will still get the play on the elbow and every one including Baron will clear out. Melo will still take contested shots.
Traditionally during D'Antoni's tenure the team needs 15 games of playing together after training camp and the preseason to hit their stride.

Well yes. The Lakers could have landed Chris Paul and everyone can could still expect Kobe to do the same. He is a scorer.
I would have never considered it before because of how it all happened, but right now I wouldn't mind trading Amar'e for Deron. That's how low I am on this mess of a team.

this is embarrassing...regardless of Baron helping team. Dantoni needs to be fired. He's gotten his chance with "Stars" and still can't get it done. This team presently is Terrible. We have enough talent minus Baron Davis to do better than this.
