i don't know what to say.

An Amar'e who is obviously not the same as he was last year, and cannot create shots for himself. A Tyson Chandler who will not be involved in the offense unless someone sets him up. Another player who cannot create shots for himself in Fields. A low IQ player in TD. A player who can create shots for himself in a league without offensive fouls in Walker. I mean there is just no way without a legit pg.
we don't have a goddamn pg right now. we haven't had one the last 14 games.
so what? does that excuse d'antoni from letting Melo play iso ball all day long. he is an offensive magician. give me a damn offense. anything. literally anything will trump this shit.
I'm praying for Davis as much as the next guy but with the way things are going between STAT & Melo I don't think we'll be that much better

Couldn't agree more, our coaching handicap is like spotting every team we play 20 points before the game begins !!
+1

Did you suddenly forget that we don't have a pg?
you don't need a PG to have an offense
agreed. can we all agree that's on d'antoni? he won't change his offense to suit his personnel
Although I agree with the bolded, we still need a pg. Especially having Amar'e and Tyson. All the better teams in the league have a pg. I can't see this getting any better until Baron is back and comfortable.
LOL Baron ain't going to make a difference. Baron would need to come in and play like Chris Paul. Which is not going to happen.
Exactly. some people are high because they think that baron will make us a top 3 team. hell even when baron davis was in his prime he was never a steve nash or chris paul
no one is expecting him to be a savior. we're expecting him to be a point guard. which this team does not have right now.
i do understand basketball been playing since i was 3 a pg no less go figure lol. I have read many people say that baron will make this team dominat all of a sudden so i didn't say anything untrue. Once again I am not saying the majority think that im saying a few or some. I mean like i said read the post please man it will make this easier lol.
where did i say dominant?
and if you like 3yr old point guards now i understand why you like toney.
i dont like 3 year old pgs lol. I said i started playing when i was 3. I dont like toney in fact i hate him more than you i was being sarcastic. he is horrible. dude can we squash this. i was just having some fun but i think you are cool can we just bury this now.

don't bother - most don't get it. i've made this point countless times and only a few seem to understand it.
I mean I just don't understand how that isn't obvious.
That was a management decision. You are right about what the coach needs and the team went for a center which the team also needed. I don't think the new management team is building the team around what they think will make the coach successful. However, if he is your coach you get him guys that can run what he does. He was left high and dry this year with the only option being adjust to the roster.
Hey coach how about getting the starters back in
4th Qtr 7:40
NYK 69 MIL 81
Both Melo and Stat should not see the court again this game to make a point. Will Nutless Pringles do this, NEVER !!

i think it's the same offense, just slowed down. they still run pick and rolls, they're just failed pick and rolls. they still shoot 3s. they're just failed 3s. they're open 3s, but failed.

If he has done so, then he either has no hope in his personnel or simply wants to get a message across that he wants his players to run his system or else. You call plays that will make your team successful and this team with all these isos isn't doing so.

LOL. Baron is going to stop Melo from chucking up 26 bad shots out of 29 shots. Baron is going to have Amare play solid defense. LOL
Baron is (hopefully) going to orchestrate an offense instead of handing it off to Melo in the backcourt
Baron is (hopefully) going to create shots for our big man instead of watching STAT alternate between dribbling off his leg in the paint or flat out barrel into the defender.
Baron is (hopefully) going to be a legitimate scoring option when Melo and Amar'e can't find their shot and combine for 10/40 from the field.
Lot of hope going on on my part, just because of how catastrophic this team has been so far...but I'd love to hear which of these expectations are unreasonable.
Jeremy Lin line for his first game with Erie Bayhawks.
28 pts
10 rebounds
12 assists
2 steals
1 block
Tripple double...sigh
been a 12 point game for most of the quarter, you'd think the Knicks would work on getting closer

No one ever cuts when Melo has the ball. At least crash the boards. We need a PG but we also need a frontcourt player who can collapse the defense.
How was that not clear path?

I agree totally. When I said "I dont understand how this isn't obvious" I wasn't referring to management decisions. I was referring to posters who truly believe we can have a nice running offense with no pg and a not 100% healthy Melo. But once again, I agree with your statement completely.

True, but you got to start with the "quote unquote" stars
I'M DISGUSTED

THIS TEAM IS BROKEN!!!!!!
