League pass: $169

Tickets to game on the 24th, 19th row center court: $300

Regret I got starphuched so far this season: PRICELESS!

Dare me to Brooklyn!

I wish I had never paid the 169, this is torture. I won't watch anymore unless they put together a 5 game win streak. The team has no pride, no spirit and no fight. We suck so bad that we suck the suck out of sucking itself.

well said. I am off even watching online for free. Waste of 2 hours. If it's a win, maybe I'll download.

If you are willing to watch games streaming on your tv you can sign up for playon. You get a free 2 week trial and then can sign up for 4.95 a month, 19.95 a year or 49.85 for life. There are sports plugins that have the Knicks games. Some are better than others. All of the feeds are analog. You also have access to all of the season passes to the nhl, nfl, mlb and nba. It isn't a huge investment and you can set up your account with plugins during your two week trial period. My thought when I signed up was that the msg twc conflict would be solved in two weeks. Now that I have subscribed I plan on using the service to watch the nfl network games and pay per view boxing matches.

Starphucking began with the coach!!!

Donnie Walsh's worst move as GM.

But I have to question whether he even really wanted him.

You know Dolan loves the flashy names and we all remember the rumor was Mark Jackson was going to get hired. Then Mike got canned in Phoenix and out of nowhere he's signing with us in a matter of days. I have to wonder if Dolan played a role in forcing Walsh's hand on this. I have no evidence of this, though, and Donnie has been ultra supportive of D'Antoni so I'd have to say it's on Donnie for now.

It's weird, because Donnie never hired this type of coach in Indiana. Most of his coaching hires were defensive minded.

I always felt that Dolan wanted the big name coach but the way Walsh protected and kept trying to make things work with D'Antoni made me think it was his hire. Walsh was very protective of D'Antoni both with the media and with personnel.

Hiring Donnie was Starphucking too!!!!

holfresh wrote:Hiring Donnie was Starphucking too!!!!

No that was Isiah

holfresh wrote:Hiring Donnie was Starphucking too!!!!

Starphucking is named after your boy, Stephon Marbury.

Walsh did the best he could before Dolan stepped in and ruined everything. You yourself praised the team that was together in the first half of last season. Walsh put that together and gave us Harrellson and Shumpert as a going away present. Walsh wasn't the problem. Dolan is.

Dolan is where starphucking began. Dolan took over the franchise in 1998 and in a matter of 4-5 years traded away Ewing and Sprewell and forced out Jeff Van Gundy and Marv Albert. The Isiah era doesn't even need to be mentioned.

Donnie deserves a lot of blame here. Specifically for 3 things.

1) Antoni should have NEVER been hired. I said that Day 1, just like I was right about Isiah from Day 1. Antoni and his "system" were never the right fit for New York. There was no chance for it working here and it was obvious from the start.

2) Signing Amare was a mistake. He's injury prone, expensive, untradeable and he's not someone you build around. Signing Amare was a backup plan to the backup plan. No LeBron, no Wade, sign Amare when he had no other offers. Put a solid PG with Melo and Chandler, without Amare clogging the lane waiting for anyone to pick and roll with him, drastically improves this team.

3) Ignoring the Point Guard position. The Knicks completely blew the 2009 draft by passing on Brandon Jennings, Ty Lawson and Jrue Holiday. Chris Paul and Deron Williams should have been the priority after passing on PG's in the draft. Spending all of your chips on the front court while ignoring the backcourt is shortsighted and a huge mistake.

+ 10000000

Your completely right.

Berman quotes: "“They traded chemistry for celebrity,’’ one Walsh confidant said. “It wasn’t a basketball trade.’’

The article states, and I agree that there is so much blame to go around.

What makes the fans so wrong was the push back of any critic and label them a "hater".

On paper, "How could it go wrong"?

Fire the coach? Might be a patch for a few weeks.

Have a GM by committee? There is no one really in charge, this is on Dolan.

Its become silly fan response thinking they know how to fix this. Trades and firings without substance only adds to the chaos.

I think 2/3rds of the UK loved the trade.

Knick fans allow the starphuch to permeate year after year.

Y'all laugh at Khan and Minny for years looking down on them with smugness as if we are so much better.
I have said it before, they will win before we will. Other teams have a plan. Sometimes the plan does not work, but they have a plan. Knicks are Like moths to the starphuch flame. Can resist a star.

Donnie was no starphuch, he was installing a culture. MDA was not a starphuch, SSOL is an exciting brand of ball. With the right players its a beautiful thing to watch. With the wrong players its not.

At this point MDA should demand an extension and full say in all player decisions. IF he can't get his brand of ball on the court then he not be fired, he should simply leave. Why stay in an environment that is not conducive success?

He still has a job as the assistant to coach K in the olympics.

Regret is a bitch!

Who cares how many of the UK loved the trade?

Raymond Felton, Wilson Chander, Timofey Mozgov and Danilo Gallinari were the ones who had their careers uprooted. Two are now back for a look at the New Garden, that was being transformed for a coronation. D'Antoni said, "we can compete for a championship" just a few weeks ago. It feels like years ago.

Totally agree Nalod, proposing wet fantasy trades is a game for kids accustomed to flipping baseball cards. Executive firings without a long term strategy keep the franchise on a treadmill speeding in reverse.

All that matters is the present and the present feels dismal. No matter how you slice it, five cannot match up with nine and be competitive - let alone defeat a mediocre opponent like Milwaukee. Baron Davis is not walking through that door and when he finally does, IF he does, it could be too late to reclaim enough confidence to win on the road - and our house is NOT a home when you get booed off the floor three nights in a row. Yes, there WILL be boos tonight. Louder than anything the Knicks have heard in a decade.

Whereas bitterness is a poison that kills from within. Only you can choose how much emotional baggage you will carry and for how long.

I haven't been billed for league pass yet. Still showing up as no charge on my cable bill. I'll be real PO'd if it shows up now. Under the circumstances it would have been money better spent elsewhere

Good quote. Its just basketball so its not a big deal.

Mister, its not important what UK thinks, but I think collectively the site likes the star system.

We constantly punch holes in our players for what they are not and covet others. Same with coaches.

We have 7 coaches in 10 years.

This is a stupid statement. Donnie helped the organization that was in salary cap hell for the better part of a decade. The Amare move was tricky but last hyear he was plaing like an MVP and when felton was here it made him just as effective. D'antoni system fit much better with the player we had which is why walsh didn't want to do the trade. the only thing we lacked was a decent center last year

The Knicks franchise distructon started in 1998 when Dolan took ower and was completed successfully in 2 years.
14 years later the team case to exists as sport organization.
Knicks are a component of MSG entertiment network. The main role - Mr Dolan toy and laughing stock for the sport world.
And this will remain the case until Dolan is the owner.
See you later..

I agree with point 1- D'Antoni was the wrong coach for NY- it was never going to end well. It set us down the wrong path and I'll be glad when he's gone. I get the thinking behind it- that players like to play for him so it might have attracted FA's, but it just meant Walsh spent his days aquiring 'D'Antoni players'.

I don't think signing Amar'e was a mistake- at some point we needed a veteran who wasn't over the hill- look at teams like the Twolves- they have lots of young talent, but without an established vet and leader, they can't make the next step. Amar'e in his first year really helped us do that.

I don't think Walsh ignored the PG spot- he just failed to do anything with it until we got Felton. I think Brandon Jennings is a scrub, so I'm not upset on missing out on him. Would of loved to have Jrue Holiday or Ty Lawson- I think what happened was Walsh had a short list of PG's, assumed that the Twolves would never pick 2 (who honestly saw that coming)- alas they did, and walsh was caught off guard, so just ended up getting a forward- big mistake, but then again it doesn't matter because we'd just have ended up trading them to Houston for cap space or to Denver for Melo.
