The Chicago game is the only one that's winnable, honestly.
Crazy rumor. Makes no sense. You don't fire him after losing 9 of 10 too horrible teams and fire him after losing to the Bulls & Celtics?
he meant to fire D'Antoni last week after the Houston loss when the team had lost 9 of their last 10, but decided to hold off until the Super Bowl so that way it could draw less attention
If this is the case--just do it now. There is no stability--it gives players an excuse to play at weaker levels. I think we should beat Chicago--they played last night and have injury problems. If we lose----I would end it.
only way I see him getting fired now is if the Zen Master already gave Dolan his word otherwise they will give MDA the rest of the year
The article states "after expected back to back losses to Chicago & Boston" I mean really how much more not credible can you be than with that statement
Can't see Dolan firing D'Antoni without Baron playing yet and also after Melo already gave coach his vote of confidence.
Good to know there are as many MDA haters out there commenting on other obscure sites as there are in here.
Although I will say when players show vocal support for the coach(as melo and co did) its usually because they know he is on a short leash
Why wait, do it now! The future is now.
the link said the information was acquired from an anonymous source close to Dolan.
many of us felt D'Antoni should have been fired within the last few weeks. it is a rather tactful coup to make such a move with the SuperBowl getting full press. These two games aren't just any games, they are both nationally televised and with Nuggets games right after them, so if we get embarrassed in both (which was expected at the time of the article judging by our play in the prior weeks), there would be greater motivation to make the move just to make a move. I'm not sure if I'm ready to completely dismiss it due to the obscurity of the website.

Anyone else smell IT leaking?
Maybe thats why Baron suddenly stopped practicing cos he was told to hold off until the new coach takes over. Then insert Baron and start winning games!

NAH, it would be easier to just fire him, lame duck Woodson. Hey Phil is awesome but, there are coaches out there that will force their way out of their contracts is necessary for the props of turning this team around.
These guys need a coach that come in on some THIS IS SPARTA shyte and whip then into the semblance of a winning team.
And IT gets cudo's for:
1) Hiring Woodson
2) the Baron signing
3) The Melo signing (with a belated apology from Dolan for saying he didn't)
4) The Stat signing (building on past accomplishments to dispel the past debacles)
5) the increase in the DJ Industrial index
6) picking of the current yoots
7) knowing that Eddy Curry was not going to be able to play in the Miami loss
8) Global warming not coming true
9) Obama not having anyone to run against
You know, maybe it is the sooner the better because then people will realize it really is the roster and how it's constructed.
Who ever the coach is im just looking forward to winning games again where the offense isn't clicking, shots aren't going down but the Knicks still find a way to GUT out a win. IT's been a Lonnnng time. The talent is finally there to accomplish that again. No more inconsistent play. Win when the shots(2's & 3's) fall lose when they don't.
I dont believe it because you have the FA from China becoming available unless Dolan thinks nobody wants to play with MDA and having coaching insecurity wont discourage them (although you can argue its already insecure).
I guess nothing would surprise me at this point.

Why are you talking like an ignorant Celtics fan? You should know that the offense isn't about winning only if we hit 3's! How is it that his offense has been either the most efficient offense in the league or no worse than top 5 when he's had at least a decent PG? Jacking 3's isn't efficient, so clearly his offense has been much more than that.
Offensive Efficiency rating League Rank:
Nash - #1
Nash - #2
Nash - #1
Nash - #2
Duhon - #17
Duhon - #17
Felton - #5 - after trade with CB struggling #7
TD, Shump - #24
If the offense was so bad and relied on 3pt shooting in order to be good, then how can it at the same time be one of the most efficient offenses in the league. Never mind all the change that have occurred in the 2 Duhon Years and even last year. 65+ different players isn't a recipe for success. We've denied the coach the one thing he needs to be successful.
