Now they just had 3 games where they looked like a competitive team. We just got a taste of Lin and i'd like to see him continue to build on his fairly decent game. Also we still have things we can do to add to this team and make a late run.
If D'Antoni's still here for the Nets game, he better play Lin instead of TD...Those stretches absolutely KILL the team...The Knicks had a 9 pt lead or something in the 4th quarter, and by the time he pulled TD, the game was tied! No one is saying Lin is the savior, but give him TD's minutes for Chrissakes...

That sound you hear is Mike D'Antoni pick-axing his way to China to kidnap J.R. Smith.

MDA is being patient with TD just like he was with Fields, STAT and Melo. All of them sucked and then now they've got it going. You have such a thin team you don't want to mentally lose anyone. At the same time he's developing Lin and getting him going. Just gotta understand that coaching is not fantasy BB. These players are real human beings with feelings and you have to have a balance.
That fool D'Antoni has GOT to GO. ASAP.
At this point, it's the BEST thing that can happen.

Unless you're getting Steve Nash as player-coach and someone who can make a jump shot, move along. Nothing to see here.
Reasons to be cheerful:
Get Baron on the court.
Sign JR Smith.
Get the 8th seed.
Take the Bulls to 6 games.
Be all happy with MDA.
Then he bolts to the Clippers and wins the title.
Fear of regret.

Baron has gone from day to day to week to week. I wish there was more information about him but I think he is back to not practicing. I don't think D'Antoni finds employment as quickly after NY as you are predicting. I also don't see Sterling paying him.

I can't wait for Antoni to go, just so we can stop listening to nixluva blowing him all day.
It's really gotten old.
Do you and Islesfan really contribute to the conversation on this forum? Aside from the short digs that you guys tend to post, what do you really bring to the table. You guys are the last people that should talk on this forum about someone else's posts. You bring next to nothing and are basically the guys in suits at the end of the bench.
If you had any clue you'd realize that D'Antoni is the least of our problems. I defend him from posters like you that lack the BB knowledge to make an informed judgment about what is really going on with the team. No coach is perfect and they all need talent to win. If you have major holes in your roster it's gonna make it harder to win. This team has holes.
Instead of acknowledging that MDA is still in there fighting to help this team win, you talk crap. He could've checked out and still gotten paid, but he's fighting despite the media coming down on him and fans calling for his head. His team is still listening and trying to get better. You've got nothing but venom to spew and maybe we're tired of you blowing yourself, cuz that's all your posts are. Self gratification.
Having two perennial all stars is not a major hole for D'antoni.
We all respect your optimism and the way you break things down, but you do it way too blindly.
Mack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF?!?!
I don't like him as a coach, but in fairness I don't see how any other coach will do better with no PG, no bench, no practice time and players incapable of hitting open shots or executing any play.

Agreed; this guy needs to be warned and then banned if needed.

It sounds like they were having audio problems if you listen closely she says she can't hear him and then the audio picks up.
I guess you can nit pick over everything MDA does if you are a hater - but like you said, its not just the coach. I still think there is plenty of time for the team to get better. If they get the 8th seed they are in the playoffs and thats really all they need.
Other teams will have droughts during the season, and if the Knicks start beating them they will go up in the standings. I am not worried about their chances - I am worried about the back court, lack of depth, and the lack of chemistry Melo has with everyone else on the team. If he turns into Marbury pt. 2 we are doomed and the media is certainly not going to do him any favors.
MDA is the least of our problems.

I don't think that is an audio issue. I think he is feeling the pressure. His team just lost a game with playoff type intensity. He might be a bit emotional. He is under a ton of pressure and he is the only guy from the organization that is allowed to talk to the media. Walsh would be deflecting some of the pressure if he were still here.

You are right, its not the audio - it was choppy when I first streamed it so I couldnt see him talking I could only hear it.
Regardless, people stumble sometimes in front of the camera or when they are asked a question - it happens, he is human. I don't read that much into it.

My prophecy was clouded, I saw him in the Staples center in my dreams.......But it was to be the Lakers, not the Clippers!!!
Sterling did pay Rivers.
MDA did find employment very quickly after his Knick gig.
