Tough way to end your contract year if he had ambitions to play longer.
I know he talked how he had the legs of a younger man and he was projected to have a "Nash" like career.
He still might comeback but its a tough injury when quickness at the position is critical at his age.
I suppose we can add him to our veterans min list of players chomping at the bit to get some NY love!
felton, mozgov, billups & gallo all injured. & melo Damn short season

blk, in no way am i trying to diminish what you did but.. you can't compare what you did to the nba. unless of course you played in the nba
I do play against NBA players, in the off season and against the NBA retirees but a tear is the same regardless where it happens. The way billups plays he could still have the same impact on the court. But he was thinking of retiring before his injury. I played at a high level after my tear against NBA players and was fine. Nba players usually play smart team ball, with high iq. I just have to move to the open spot and hit my jumpers. It depends on your game. I don't need a lot of lift to be affective. They actually call me billups cause I don't jump high on my jumpers.
But when u get paid to do this, it's a different story. I'm just a could have been type of player. Billups was having a good game too...but that change of speed from NY to LA hurt him. That's not his game at 35....
“My career is definitely not over,” the 35-year-old said. “I’m not going to crawl out of this league. I’m going to go out on my own two feet. I will be back.”
