Still a few weeks away, but here's the latest from Alan Hahn (he still does the Knicks fix on the msg website)
Rookie Josh Harrellson is about halfway through his recovery from a broken wrist. The training staff has him putting in a lot of conditioning work so he is ready to play once doctors clear him for contact. He recently told D'Antoni that he lost six pounds. Harrellson is scheduled to be cleared after the All-Star Break (Feb. 27).

Good, good- he looked a little plump, so hopefully he'll return in better shape but without sacrificing any of his strength.
I can't wait for Lin to Jorts for the trey! All day, make it rain!
the extra pounds really early in the season was holding him back. His 3pt shooting will improve now. His interior defense is great

How do you know extra pounds were holding him back?
You don't know what a guy can play with. Look at Melo, chubby forever, but plays at a high level.
It's all in how you handle your weight.
Baron Davis & Jorts back after the All-Star break?!
Finally going to see what this team looks like at full strength.

Jorts is another guy who I can see eventually being apart of the PnR. He sets a very wide, solid pick. And he can obviously hit a jumpshot. Making it all happen in a PnR situation probably won't happen for a few years, but until then he can be a very good 3point outlet.
I like Jorts a lot. I think we suffered a bigger loss than we think, when he went down, so I look forward to having him back. He's an easy guy to root for too.

Young David Lee but with some balls on defense!
A poor guy's David Lee!
LOVE Jorts game. Yet another player the scouts slept on. We've been cleaning up on good finds in the draft. Having Jorts back will really help the Bench.
I think weight is holding him back some. One thing he did tthat surprised me was drive to the hole which may get better with the weight loss
I don't know. He's just a big dude. He doesn't strike me as an Eddy Curry, "I'm too fat to get around" situation.
Some guys are just big and look chunky, but the guy is in tip top shape. He gets up and down the hardwoods easily.

Agree. The wight does not bother me. Would like to see Jorts maximize his quickness and elevation. Lock Harrellson in the training room and force him to develop a signature low post move. A step back jumper would be a perfect compliment to his long range j.
