Can Lin and Baron Davis start together?

seems difficult to guard, even for Miami. What do you think?
nah we have enough scorers in the starting 5. Need consistent offense off the bench which Davis will provide. The only kind of scorer that would fit in the starting lineup would be a pure shooter at the 2. Which Davis is not
Clips had PGs out the wazoo. We don't have the luxury - one or the other will need to be on the bench to provide a rest or cover for foul trouble for the other. Lin can't average 44 mpg.
That said, you may see them play together for certain stretches, depending on the situation. Nothing wrong with either Fields or Shump at the 2 though.
They should never start together because the 2nd unit needs a quality guard to run the pick n roll. Also you need another capable shooter at the point.
not sure about earlier in the season but they are already matching the production of the Clips tandem

Um I maybe the only one thinking this, but what if BD isn't the type of player who can play 10-20 minutes a game and be effective.
Well if Baron's head is fully with the team and not in movie production I think as a player-coach he can be invaluable even from the bench and 1/2-speed practices. He's a special talent because of his IQ and his (former?) physical gifts. I say just get him ready for the playoffs, when that depth is going to be so crucial, and hope that All Star muscle memory kicks in. If not, don't play him.

The real question at this stage is can Baron Davis play at all? I hope he can, but I'm a lot more doubtful than I was a few weeks ago.
It must be weird for him- Lin is almost living HIS story- BD was the PG who was suppose to come back and save the Knicks. I wonder if he'll be okay with being a back up (if he can come back at all). Must be weird for Lin too- he grew up a Warriors fan, so he must have rooted for BD back in that Warriors playoff run- now BD might be his back up.

Sure, and Baron will do fine as a shooting guard until he rips his back up worse and disappears for the season just like Billups ended up doing.

Who plays and where. And that in the NBA every minute of a game is dictated by the minute

So line ups and minutes played come from game flow. If Tyson gets a foul or two it affects
His minutes.... If Lin turns ball over over and over it affects his minutes ( not yet obviously)
if Jeffries doesnt play D it affects his minutes. If Novak misses shots it affects his minutes.
If BD can can actually get healthy and can play it will be a great thing for our Team
