One more thing, Chris "Birdman" Anderson has more tats than anyone. Has there been a negative word about his body art?

Kicking a defenseless photographer in the nuts is a punk move. Rodman was just bizarre and desperate for attention.

Kurt Thomas whupped his old lady's ass. Is that gangsta?

mrKnicksShot - what exactly about JR Smith IS gangsta?

Its in "living color" on his white skin. I get high just looking at it.

JR looks like Jibberish impulse than the crazy art on the birdman.

Birdman heroin jokes all played out. The dude is quiet, plays ball and is not the talent level of JR.

JR is a caracture of egocentric third party talking about themselves over endulged NBA player.

Birdman is like a clip fromr the movie "Avatar".

Could not agree more! But he's got an NY tatoo on his neck so he will fit in perfectly.

Yes. I know. I was being sarcastic

Starks had a ton of character, tremendous heart and 'would do anything to win' ( just ask Scotty Pippen). He was a warrior for the Knicks during a great era. Smith has been a bit of a bad apple and from a distance and based on what I have read has character flaws that could be detrimental to the team. I wouldn't compare him to Starks. Maybe he turns things around in NY like Shawne but I am a bit concerned that this signing could be disruptive to the team.
MarburyAnd1Crossover @ 2/17/2012 8:56 PM
When considering the Trey Bucket %, keep in mind that Starks made it rain from farther out than JR. Starks's treys should've been worth 4 points.

There is very light comparison with Starks and JR Smith other than fast offense

2 different type of players
JR maybe more naturally skilled than Starks.

both has differing energies one on Defensive end (Starks) JR more on offensive end

Starks plays with heart and moreso,
JR is tough but you can break him once in awhile as far as his heart

shooting pct. may be close on 2's or 3's; Thing is more clutch 3pt shooter than JR is
JR better clutch 2pt shooter than Starks.

Both capable of the big shot but Starks more guards other player best position spot
JR guards SF or other Guards not as potent.

All in all they both bring things to the game with Attitudes.
Neither player is soft. Both can have horrible overrall games
can shoot you into OR out of games

Swing Shift For Number 8

“He’s not stopping the ball, that’s for sure,” Coach Mike D’Antoni said with a nervous chuckle.

In D’Antoni’s system, “stopping” the ball or stalling the offense is a major sin. But chucking 3-pointers without letting the offense create a quality shot first is also a punishable offense.

Fortunately for Smith, he hits those shots at a steady rate. He has converted 37.1 percent of his 3-pointers, including a 39 percent rate last season, when he averaged 12.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Denver Nuggets. The Knicks were shooting only 30.3 percent from the arc as of Friday, ranking them 26th in the league. Clearly, Smith fills a need.

Smith is also a fantastic athlete, a skilled ball handler and a lethal slasher who can break down defenses and get to the rim. His versatility and scoring prowess make him an ideal sixth man. - Howard Beck

Whatever skill set JR brings to the court, one thing is certain - the second half will not be dull.

March shapes up as the most intriguing month of basketball our beloved franchised has seen in a decade.
