the jumpshots not falling. bad shot selection at times.
but their defense is stellar. they are going all out on that end. JR had what, 3 steals first quarter? I don't care much for defensive stats. defensive awareness on the court is what is the most important to me and both of them have it. understanding rotations, closing out on open shooters, contesting everything without fouling, guarding mismatches without giving anything up easy, etc.
if I hear someone call Melo a terrible defender again, I will catch a body.
im happy with jr so far really working his butt off. melo is trying hard to play team ball. i think once he gets the rust gone he will be better offensively but so afr so good. we need these two guys if we are gonna make a serious run
this is why i was in favor of signing JR. our guard depth is GREAT now if shump is healthy.

All the detractors failed to take note of the fact that JR is a GREAT athlete and actually plays hard on D. JR can handle the ball almost like a PG too. He's a good player even if he gets shot happy sometimes. Gotta live with it. The good thing is that he's on the 2nd unit that needs scoring so...

his shot selection has been real good so far. the only thing i noticed are his free throws but i think that will be ok. but like you said amazing athlete
We really needed his athleticism. He makes us a faster team that gets out and runs. His brings a lot of energy.
jr is a great defender when he wants to be, hopefully he wants to be for the rest of the year.
I liked Melo's team D tonight. He was showing, rotating, and getting back on his man. His block on the fastbreak was nice too. Overall a great defensive game.
i think jr is comfortable here. i mean in denevr he had george karl who is a great coach but its evident he gets under peoples skin like melo and jr

there's a comfort level between melo and jr that is really good.
