You'll have a coach finish the season simply Knicks will sink OR swim
However the overall goal will be keep MELO 1 yr more and to reach out to the BIG FISH Phil Action Jackson to coach NY.
way too much invested in chumps of the bucks $$$ of both Amare Stoudemire and Carmello Anthony.
Phil Jackson is only guy Carmelo Anthony will and can respect to save his game, career and NY Knicks franchise
PG Jeremy Lin will be in fold of all this.
Phil Jackson may also have power if hired in summer to push for GASOL for STOUDEMIRE deal whom
Gasol would love his 2nd preference of NY City (consider 1st choice BULLs deal dont happen)
Phil Jackson wont put up for Melo and Amare not getting it!
Melo can adjust faster and Amare if he cant board OR play defense at times will be outta here to follow Mike D'Antoni.
Melo wont be defender of year but will be a better player under PJ and get to play his postgame without ball-stop.
Phil Jackson will preach moving ball constantly!
If Amare Stoudemire could show any sembalance of Post/under board paint presence the lack of post game hurts NY. Amare gets no blame
for it cause he only wants to shoot.
Phil will get his was and a short $contract to coach in memory of his mentor Knick HOF late Red Holzman and only coach
with titles For Knickerbockers.
*GREAT
Jackon/Melo/Gasol & Lin way to go for 2012/2013 Knicks will be on the rise!
Phil Jax isn't stupid enough to touch this organization with a 50 foot pole.

You might just eat crow again on this. I hope so.

Eat crow again? What did I eat crow on?

Knicks will reach out to PJ and
at least get a Y/N response
wait and see
I think Jax is the next coach. Said it last night on one of the threads. Makes too much sense. This roster is perfect for him assumin STAT is open to learning defense and can drain the jumper again.

I hope he does too. But given the way Dolan runs this ship, I do not see Phil Jackson, at this stage of his career, subjecting himself to the headaches.

You could be right and Dolan is a douche but don't underestimate pJax's ego. That can help.
Dolan may be a fool but..
he will be told to mix Phil Jackson with Lin-sanity Part 2. Phil will be given $$ a short term contract he can live with and some power
coaches, trades etc..
Dolan got nothing to ask the retired Jackson whom said after retiring he would listen if NY ever called.
Jackson history legend wont be tarnish worst to happen PJ can duplicate appearance in NBA east playoffs
and even a title game (East Title conf) just like Pat Riley did.
Tune in!
Phil Jackson only goes to Franchises that have Superstars...we have None.

I guess this will test that theory.
DJMusic,
You are DELUDING yourself if you think any self-respecting coach will come to this team. You think Phil Jackson hasn't been paying VERY close attention to what happened to Lenny Wilkens (hall of fame coach), Larry Brown (hall of fame coach), Donnie Walsh (hall of fame front office guy, one of the most respected minds and people in the NBA) and now Mike D'Antoni (prob not a hall of famer, but a well-respected coach)???
You think Phil Jackson wants to come here? Are you kidding me?
Mike Woodson will be the opening day coach next season. Book it.

So MDA was not a self respecting fellow? If he is/was, then the eff did he come here? Did he not see the writing on the wall?
Answer:
This is NY and the money is good. They will always come.
You think PJax or Sloan has more self respect the MDA?

MDA came because Donnie Walsh was running the show, which he said many times.
And, I think Phil Jackson is more protective of his legacy than MDA.
He. Is. Not. Coming.

I.Hope.You're.Wrong!.!
But Jackson is def more protective of his legacy.
the knicks are a joke. if anyone here expects them to ever win more than 45 games ever in a season, i am sorry.
42, 43 wins, first round playoffs loss. that's what to expect or hope for, best case, for the rest of dolan's tenure.
two straight teams with potential have been dismantled by dolan. two years in a row. he is the biggest fool i have ever encountered.

What's really scary about the situation is that it's essentially a repeat of the early 2000s. It's hard to understand why Dolan is doing this, again.
Begley is reporting we might reach out to John Calapari
