Saw it today....I am not an extremly religious person but this movie was pretty amazing. Anyone else see it?
Amazing? In what way? Havent' seen it yet.
I have never seen a movie that provokes so much emotion out of its viewers. Its not the kind of movie you show up with your friends, get a bag of popcorn, and then sit down to be entertained.
Maybe its because he is a figure that connects with so many people, christian and non christian - plus the brutality of a crucifixion is awful. To watch it on screen was soul stirring. It may sound corny but I guess you have to see it to understand. I thought it was definitely worth it though.
Oasis I plan on going to see it with my wife, but people at work said it was SOMETHING!
There was so many opinions months before the opening my curiosity level was on full guard. A must go see movie, I did not find this movie entertaining. IMO the Passion of Jesus Christ is a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice
It isnt designed to be entertaining at all...and I wouldnt go into expecting that. It is worth seeing though.
brilliant marketing. Take the core of a religous Icon, and create a realistic visual that nobody has ever seen before.
I saw they sell "passion" Jewlery! One model is a freaking NAIL on a leather lanyard!
No ad money needed to promote this movie!
What, no Universal theme park ride for this one? Virtual Crusifiction? Passion happy meal? Passion freedom fries with stigmata ketchup?
Seems that every christian feels "bound" to see this movie. More media manipulation to suck the money from emotionally involved patrons.
"relive the horror of him who died for your sins" Front Row Joe is still selling coke and popcorn, and please turn off your cell phone.
I have a problem of this movie hitting the very emotional nerve of believers and bringing to life this which is so personal to the masses.
HE DIED FOR YOU!!!FOR YOU!!!
well so did millions and millions and millions of cows, pigs, chickens, fish..don't hear too much about them
Don't mock God's only sacrifice for us.

Playa, Im sure he will forgive you too!
i thought it was great. it seemed like everyone in the theatre was nervous to see it before it came on. Theres no comming attractions for this so get there early.
Also theres no difference between Mel Gibson making money off of Jesus's death than Steven Spielberg making money off of the holocaust.
i wouldnt bring any kids to see it though cause its bloody and it looks very realistic.
