It was never a matter of being out of shape. He came into the season hot. The injuries bogged him down. Now he is getting more of a rhythm seeing the ball consistently through the post---being the focal point on offense and acting as the main facilitator.

Nah, Melo is a overrated ball hog cancer chucker! By the way, he just passed Clyde Frazier for 105th in scoring tonight's game..amazing at 27!

melo is our best player. it kinda makes sense to have him run plays that accentuate his talents rather than try to turn him into Shawne Williams the Second.

I turned the game on in the 4th quarter and don't know wtf he's doing. I guess the box score says he played well in the 3 quarters I missed.

He took and made a lot of low percentage shots. I'm not gonna be that critical because he had a great game overall but I'd rather see the Knicks spend the first 12 to 15 seconds of each play trying to create high percentage shots. They can always resort to a contested jumpshot if nothing better emerges.

I love how you hide when he is playing well and you come out of your hole as soon as he misses a few shots

He played really well although he made some bad decisions in the 4th but we lost because baron sucked as bad as you can suck in the game and we couldnt get a rebound

You saw the best and worst of Anthony tonight. Our offense became stagnant much too often when it counted, and just stood around waiting for Anthony to do his thing. Davis' inability to control the offense was key, and it looked as if Woodson turned to Anthony to be a point-forward when he saw that Davis was not cutting it.

The great irony is that as Anthony becomes healthier, you may see more and more of him trying to take things over, and when he is not having a good game, the rest of the team will not be able to compensate. When he was not as mobile, he seemed to be doing a pretty good job of being a team player.

His defense has been much better this year, and that is what may allow him to carry the superstar tag at some point, but the entire idea behind this thread is bogus, since he has never been a true superstar. One of the great pure scorers in the NBA, yes, but a complete player, no. He's a star, but is not at that next level.
