I saw this on another site.

It looks like when Jeremy gets close lined and hair pulled by Kidd, he lands awkwardly on his left knee. I wouldn't doubt that this caused the tear in his meniscus or at least had some impact on the injury. I still can't believe that the NBA didn't charge Jason Kidd with a flagrant foul. It looks worse each time I watch it:

When Lin comes back, we need an enforcer in the Oak/Mase mold to protect Lin. This type of beating will not stop.

Ya that was a bad hit Lin took. You can see his knee sort of buckle after he got smashed on that play

and he started limping when he got up. You would think he would be holding his head but he was favoring the left knee.

Interesting bit of info on the guy that injured Lin is that aside from being a huge douchebag,
he is also close friends with the player that made Lin famous, Deron Williams. So much so that
he has supposedly stated that he would be willing to play back-up to his golf buddy if Deron
were to sign in Dallas next year.

When I first saw it that i game i was sure he had a concussion because you could hear how loud he hit the floor but he ended up worse with his knee

I dont even remember that--but that looks like it couldve caused additional damage for sure.

I think he had issues with the Knee even before that play. That is why he had the knee brace on. That play probably furture aggravated his injury.

Amare was the enforcer. Everytime someone hit Lin, Amare would drill an opposing player.

Thank god it was minor... Lin + Shumper = hell of a good backcourt for years to come

Thats why im happy with our future. Melo has a good 5-6 years at least as a top player and amare if healthy, tyson is a beast, and lin/shump are gonna be stars

That might have happened then, but I seriously doubt if anything like that would get a pass now. The copmraderie among the Knicks players seems to be much stronger now under Woodson.
