Amare going to the rim soft and playing laughable defense is ANNOYING.
Sadly Amare needs plays run for him to do damage.
I think it's very clear, that Knick fans have become losers. Loser that make accuses for this pathetic organization. We rebuilt for four years to win 1 fucking playoff game? And I was being generous. As fun as it watching Melo isolate every possession, Woodson not running any plays, Amare not boxing out and giving Bibby more minutes then fields, this team has no future or hope. we have question marks at three position and won't have a bench next season.
Just no sense of urgency at all out there. No fight

The Knicks did make some progress today. They did some good things and also had some lapses, but I'm looking forward to Tyson being back at 100% and everyone else being rested and strong.
Hope is not a strategy. We had no offense and our 3rd ranked defense looked like garbage. This ain't gonna get it done.

I can't help but to think about this game in hindsight and believe that they just didn't try hard enough.
This is the first time we've lost 2 straight in the Woodson era. If things get much worse, He won't be the coach next year.
I wonder what Phil Jackson is thinking right now?
Bottom line is we lost to a much better team on their homecourt. I saw plenty of effrot on our part, but the Heat are the best defensive team in the league and they have a habbit of making teams look lethargig on offense....Sometimes you just have to give credit to the other team.

1. They did their job now its time to do ours.
2. The heat won't beat us in our house.
3. We will make adjustments.
4. we have to protect homecourt.
Perfection!! Amare's exact words howdya do that?!

most scorers do, don't they?
it's more melo and amar'e not being a fit together than it's anyone's fault.
you can't ask melo to be a PG and you can't ask amar'e to be an all defensive guy who thrives without the ball. don't expect guys to be something they aren't.

I agree with you. Stat is the out man out. And Stat's defense doesn't him his cause with the fans either. The guy plays flat out lazy. Maybe his back is still shot from last years playoffs against the Celtics, and maybe he needs surgery.
There's Amare and the Knicks built in excuse right there going into next season

Phil is thinking that retirement is great

Hmmm...I agree about Melo playing another postion that is foreign to him. But, asking a basketball player to give effort on both sides of the court for $100m? Yeah, I think thats pretty reasonable.

Maybe Dolan will just need to pay 20 million
GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
crzymdups wrote:HARDCOREKNICKSFAN wrote:Ever since Melo started getting whacked again and not getting calls, he hasn't been focused. He was playing well before that. He has to stay focused and not let the crook-assed refs get to him.
Bosh hit a 3? Nah, man... we have to start butchering these fools. No one on the team seems to have the mindset to do that.
Where is the D?
Melo is really thrown off. He hasn't been able to shake off the frustration.
well, it has to be frustrating for a player to be playing his ass off and getting abused by the other team and the refs looking the other way.
i know you can say "blah blah play through it" but the knicks margin for error is razor thin without shumpert and against the heat in general.
if the refs are gonna stack the deck, it's over before it starts.
Agreed. It was obviously frustrating to and for him. You could see it on his face for the whole game after the second time he got clobbered. I knew it was affecting him when he got hit, there was no call, and he walked back downcourt with a pissed scowl on his face.
Even with the refs playing favorites, I still think the Knicks should have make those fouls count, and beat Miami the hell down. Tonight was the anniversary of the big fight where JVG was clinging to Alonzo Mourning's leg. Back then, the Knicks identity and mentality was different. I can care less about how the game and rules have changed, They REALLY need to rediscover some of that.
The worst part of it all, is that these wretched Miami Heat players are trotting around with their noses in the air, as if they KNOW they are better than the Knicks. I long for the days when the Knicks would NEVER, EVER let that happen.
18 and 7 from Amare tonight. I mean dam.
Here is hoping Davis finally found his game. Really good 2nd half. If he plays like that in mSG we have a chance
AnubisADL wrote:Knicks cannot generate enough offense to counter Miami. We dont have the personnel to guard the perimeter with Shumpert out. Also Chandler has zero offense. I'd kill for Eddy Curry right now.
Woah woah easy there buddy.
It does look like spoelstra has the heat knowing everything were going to do
Whoever expects this team to win is kidding himself. Even if we were playing PERFECT, and I mean perfect basketball, we would still trail the heat by 6 with a 18-5 free throw discrepancy.
Game 1 was a disgrace for the NBA. The fact that not many saw it like that speaks volume about how tolerant we've become to that. Game 2 was less obvious but still the calls were questionable.
But still, this game was lost by New York, who now really believe they can't win and are going through the motions because they do look like they've given up. Their defensive intensity is nowhere near how it was weeks ago. The offense is a mess. Woodson is showing he isn't the guy to take this team where they supposedly want to be.
After this game, anyone that still has an ounce of hope deserves my admiration. You are a better fan than I. I don't believe in this team anymore, but even if I did, I don't believe in this league allowing teams to play and not trying to push a result for ratings.
