How about we give Woody a shot to implement his plan after going 18-6...that's a blatantly misleading view of looking at MDA's timeline.
If Woodson is being judge on his body of work including the playoffs...Please provide me with the suitable timeline that MDA should be judge..
one thing doesn't have anything to do with the other.
If you want to argue with someone about Woodson not yet having a good enough chance, please do so. But saying MDA had 3 and a half years to implement anything is utterly wrong.
It absolutely does have something to do with each other...How long and when do you begin to hold a coach accountable for his team and his style of play...Nix seems to think its 24 regular season and 2 playoff games ...So how long does MDA have to be in the coaching seat before he is judged or at what point do we start the clock??
The point being MDA failed miserably regardless of how many games you look at...Woody was very successful in the final 24 games of the season...So are we here judging him after two games against the MIami Heat with a depleted roster?... Where is the fairness and what body of work do you compare it to?

each should be judged in the context of how he performed with the players, talent, circumstance and time they were given. No more, no less.

You are still not answering the question, you just know its not 3 and half years..

both you and Hol are arguing against a phantom set of people who you claim want to play on both sides to the same argument, that's not really doing much to make your point.
I don't think that's fair Martin, it's not some random post or thread being brought up from the 3 plus years MDA was here. This is Nixluva. This guy has flat out said things like:
" If you had any clue you'd realize that D'Antoni is the least of our problems. I defend him from posters like you that lack the BB knowledge to make an informed judgment about what is really going on with the team. No coach is perfect and they all need talent to win. If you have major holes in your roster it's gonna make it harder to win. This team has holes."
Sorry but, fuck this dude. He's been talking down to anybody that doesn't agree with his Basketball view for about a year. So yes, I do think that it is of worth bringing up all the pass things he would use to defend the old coach and in the process explain that nobody knows a damn about basketball around here other than him when those things are going against Woody as well.
And I'm closing with classic Nixluva spin for the old coach, being used for Woody.
"The biggest factor is the lack of any floor leader. There's no decision maker, no coach on the floor to carry out what MDA wants them to do. I guarantee you that if we had a capable PG this team doesn't have a losing record."
How do you know he's not part of the solution when he doesn't have a PG to QB his offense? You could stick any of the top 15 PG's on this team right now and IMMEDIATELY the team would be better. It's not rocket science. Scoring wasn't this teams problem last year. We just need defense. So now that we have a better defense, now we don't have PG to run the offense. MDA's not the problem.
But add in 3-4 rotation guys being out with another 3-4 with injuries or illnesses and playing the best team in basketball.
Oh who's that knocking............. It's INTEGRITY NIXLUVA!!!!!!!!

Its all about his agenda - I see nothing wrong with poking holes in his flawed logic with his own flawed logic.
But its ok because as he says - we are all LIARS!

it's like trying to judge two different girlfriends with the same set of criteria, you just can't.
Why don't you just tell me what I am supposed to say so we can satisfy your curiosity. 10 months? 5 months? 2 years? Each gets a limited timespan regardless of circumstance?
For me Woody seems to have done a pretty good job all things considered. The only guy I would drop him for is Phil.
