http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/...Speaking at an event at the New York Athletic Club on Tuesday, Kentucky coach John Calipari told the New York Daily News that he believes Mike Woodson will be the Knicks coach next season. "Mike Woodson is a dear friend of mine and he is doing an unbelieveable job and he has gotten Carmelo (Anthony) to be the Carmelo he needs to be to win,'' Calipari said. "And I got the best job in basketball, in my opinion. You don't need to make decisions financially, which I did the last time when I went to the Nets. Fifteen million back in 1996, when you're a kid, is like $30 million now. At Kentucky, you can win championships. And you have a stage that really helps the young people.
"I'm not going to to the Knicks. Mike Woodson will be your coach.
Calipari and Phil Jackson were believed to be candidates for the Knicks job, but Woodson appears to be the strongest candidate at this point. He led the Knicks to an 18-6 regular season record and into the playoffs. The seventh-seeded Knicks trail the Heat, 3-1, going into Game 5 on Wednesday in Miami.
Praise the Lord! Couldn't take Calipari as the coach of the Knicks. Guy couldn't even reel in Sam Cassell, he wouldn't stand a chance in hell with Carmelo.

He makes it like getting Carmelo to be the Carmelo he needs to be to win is like some herculean task!
Should that be so hard? I guess so, Karl could not do it, MDA could not do it and maybe Melo finally HAD to do it to save face!
Whats so hard, give him the goddam ball and let him hoist 20+ shots. Melo gotta love that! Who wouldn't?
Boring. I was hoping Woodson would disappear after the play off. A whole season of Woodson is blah.

StarMelo!
Yeah - If PJax could not change Kobe and therefore wanted him traded numerous times, he would probably be a waste to bring in here

That is a pack of lies, MrKnickshot. You're pulling things out of your butt.
