Andrew and Martin inspired me. So I said why not? The forum is up but the site is far from finished. I will be adding to it over the summer but feel free to post nets stuff there.
Too bad the nets didnt get that top 3 protected pick, it is probably going to be a slow summer. I will probably bump this thread once when the season 2012-2013 season starts and thats it.
Let me know if you guys have any ideas for improvement of the site.

Thanks to Andrew and Martin for allowing me to post this!
Sub,
Good job!
I will register and perhaps contribute.
Im not ready to change my stripes so fast but I applaud your efforts as I have the Nets to move the franchise two rivers into Brooklyn.
Nets are still in the same market but the stakes are higher with new ownership, a new home, new part of town, and a new look.
They have to change the product on the floor and build a winner.
Competition is healthy.
This site is for the knicks and there are other Net sites so its not like the UK is being disrespected.
Good luck with the launch!
cool...a search function!!!!
Congrats on the new Forum!!! It looks good.
I can't hate the Nets now that they're back in NY. When I was a VERY young kid I loved Dr. J and as such I went to Nets games when they were still in NY. I stopped paying them any attention as soon as they traded him and as a young person I continued to follow him in Philly, but for a while I actually had no problem cheering for the
Nets/Dr J. I did like Buck Williams and did follow them a bit over the years. Hated the Nets when Kidd was there and they were winning and stomping the Knicks.
I actually don't feel as antagonistic about them now that they're in Brooklyn. Heck I was born in Brooklyn. I will follow them and hope they do well except not as good as the Knicks of course. I'm the odd fan that actually doesn't see anything wrong with supporting the Nets and still being a big Knicks fan.
Nice. Not sure if you are a Nets fan but there is another site that is awesome, Netsdaily.com. The guy that started it used to post on NJO sports forum. It has twitter links and stuff for NY beat writers. I am not a fan of the Nets but they are a part of my cable package so I watch them a lot. I have some good friends that are diehard fans of theirs so I check in on that site for Knick and Net news. I will probably sign up for your forum. Good luck.
Where is the Alba thread?
You've been a Nets fan this whole time? Well, I can definitely see it now.
I was looking for one and there wasn't one. I've decided to be a Nets fan (2nd to the Knicks of course).
Well done subzero
Having trouble logging in buddy. Never received a confirmation email.
Anyone switching allegiances should leave now and never return.
At least dj chose the Raptors. Picking the rival Nets is just blasphemy and unforgivable.

JamesKPolk,
What was your former screen name? I see you joined in March here but DJ been gone a few years now.
Not being a forensic snit for any reason other than item of discussion.
Regarding "Picking rival nets" being a sin, as Nixluva indicated as have I in the past that there are some of us from Brooklyn, grew up going to Net games on long island not because we did not like the knicks, but because it was close by, very inexpensive and we had a great team, Dr. J, and the ABA was a blast. We loved the Knicks!
That DNA is in there. For 35 years I could not give two shyts or a phuch about them as the team ran over to Jersey and for the most part were incognito. I would root for them in the finals as I would root for the Devils to win against LA as I'd rather have a NY team win than an LA team.
Nets in Brooklyn has soul to it. They are marketing it as old school NY hoops which is not a Knick thing by the way. They are going back to the "mecca" thing where it was not the knicks but the college game. NIT and college double headers in MSG with teams of national importance. Players from NY had national importance then.
Its marketing but it resonates with me. Causual fans may jump on that band wagon but thats their gig. A big time Knick fan won't.
NYC basketball is up for grabs. There is a whole generation who does not know the team was good in the 90's but are coming of age and only know how we have sucked for 10 plus years. To them Ewing is a fable and Jordan is a legend who never had a bad game and hits every shot via youTube!
KNicks are in control of their own destiny. Measured success should be how they do themselves and not against the nets. By that, if the knicks are in second to last place and the nets in last how good really is that?
Not trying to convert anyone other than give an understanding that for me its not "one vs the other" as it might be for most fans.
I can't believe this is even a thread on here.
Jay Z and the Russian threw some lipstick on a pig, that's about it.
Why is this on a New York Knicks site again?

Which one? He's had about 53,782,349 of them.

Because one of the long time posters has started his own site with obvious blessing by Martin/Andrew and we are mostly adults here.
Oh, but wait.....
...........Man, can't believe we talking nets here. If "Oak" was still playing he never allow a "ultimateNets" site to be allowed! He would have reached thru the screen and broke Subzero's fingers!
Nets only threaten the knicks if the KNicks themselves suck! A strong knicks team is the best thing for all fans. A good rilvary makes for more interesting basketball. Games with meaning.
I would hope our owner has more ambition than to just be the best team in NYC! Lets be real. Knicks win 25 games and Nets 23 is it really a reason to feel good?

They also built a huge sty on Atlantic and Flatbush.
Admittedly in the past, I poked fun at the Nets calling them "Swamprats" and making fun of their anemic attendance (Game 3 of the '02 Finals was one of the saddest sights I've seen), but I don't have any hate towards them. If anything, they got nothing to lose moving to BK.
