I hear how it will be great to have Felton back again with Amare when he couldn't run the pick and roll with him the last time he was here. Felton got off to a good start as a Knick but as the season went on he called his number too much and made poor decisions on the floor. I don't know what pisses me off more, not getting a HOF PG in Nash or Kidd, or having Felton back as a Knick.

If you think Kidd is still playing at a HOF level, you didn't watch many Mavs games last season. He was horrible. He's done.

If you think Kidd was seriously considering the Knicks and not just using them to leverage a better deal as he has done THREE TIMES IN A ROW now with the Mavs, I don't know what to tell you.

That said, I am bummed about Nash. I truly thought we had a shot. And many unbiased analysts have said the Knicks package was better. But Nash wanted to be in LA. Which means he thought he had a better chance to win a chip there or that he was ALSO just using the Knicks to leverage a better deal from the team he really wanted.

He certainly had a better chance at a trophy in LA, but another driving factor was the closer proximity to his kids.

Never said Kidd was still in his prime but I would take an over the hill Kidd and his knowledge of the game and his willingness to set up his teammates over Felton any day. He would have been an upgrade over the backup PGs we have now.

Felton is not the kind of veteran I want Lin to learn the game from. I don't know how serious either one was about signing, doesn't change the fact that our best bet right now is Raymond Felton, I don't consider that anything to be happy about.

I am sorry but what do good back up guards look like. Especially veteran back up Pgs? What kind of stats do you think they are suppose to have?

I just don't believe Kidd ever wanted to come here. You do remember his past flirtations with the Knicks, right? This is literally the third in the last 5 years.

I'll take your word for it. Just bummed that Felton looks like the best we are going to do.

ChuckBuck @ 7/5/2012 2:39 PM
If Felton is motivated and in good shape, we could do much worse than "Fat Felton".

gunsnewing @ 7/5/2012 3:25 PM
Rich Buechner. Kidd to Dallas not a done deal could still wind up in ny

Would y'all rather have Felton, Hinrich, or CJ Watson?

Knicks have emerged as favorites to sign Raymond Felton, the Daily News has learned.

Happy about this move. Felton was a fighter for this team, heady player. Is he in Nash's class? No. But he'll be a solid player and he wants to be here, unlike Kidd, who I thought was just using the team again.

agreed
DJ (the other dj) is high on guys whom WANT NEWYORK CITY
so far it Amare, Melo And Felton
though I'd part with stout for right deal/chips
