Knicks · Is anybody tired of all the "NBA Experts" bashing our team? (page 1)

IrishKnickFan @ 7/9/2012 9:53 PM
For some reason everyone hates the knicks. I mean eberybody is talking about how the heat boston the bulls and now the nets will duke it out in the Eastern Conference. I mean im sorry but they are overrating the nets who dotn even have Dwight Howard. I think the nets will be a playoff team but everyone acts like they are a power team even though we dont know how they will mesh together. I hope the knicks prove everybody wrong
Mray20 @ 7/9/2012 9:58 PM
I think it's funny how Derek Rose is probably out for the whole season and the Bulls are still supposed to be better than the Knicks, nobody mentions how injury plagued the Knicks were last year. Look at the roster now , The Knicks have a great squad and a full training camp with Woody I can't wait. I heard these same experts say Dallas wasn't going to beat the Heat either .

Yeah i dont get why the Knicks are so hated. Im already tired of Brooklyn. They remind me of the jets who try to outshine the giants even though most new yorkers are giant fans just like kost new yorkers are knicks fans

I think the Knicks are gonna be top 3 in D and win the Atlantic. If u look at this roster it's shaping up to be even better defensively than last year! If u can defend at an elite level you're most of the way there. Then with Lin and Kidd this team should have real balance.

if we stay healthy we will be real good i fell. also we will be adding shump in the second half of the season

I'm not so sure it's everybody, ESPN had the knicks 5th with a 1-12 odds to win it all this season..

heat
okc
lakers
spurs
knicks
bulls
boston

Until the media sees tangible evidence that the Knicks have turned things around (like advancing a round or two) this is what we can expect. Considering our record over the last decade its not surprising.

The good news is that barring injuries, I believe this team is going to some real damage next season and shut some reporters up.

Agreed. Im not saying they should pick us to win but if they look at roster we should at least be a deep playoff team

That was when Nets briefly fell out of the D12 run. And that was a fan vote I was watching. Lots of Knicks fans in NY and around the globe

So what we bash ourselves all the time.

Heat, Boston, Bulls, Nets.

Let's see. NBA champions, only team that took the current champs to 7 games, team with the best regular season record two seasons running (including one largely without Rose) and probably the team with the best center and one of the best pgs in the league.

It isn't really bashing the knicks to put those 4 as the ones to chase.

Maybe the Knicks can mess with that bunch, but they have to prove it. In fairness, so do the nets. But Heat , Celts and Bulls have proven it, Bulls at least in terms of the regular season.

They bash us every year, we always seem to complain about it, but then they seem to get proved right. As usual, I'm hoping we prove them wrong this season!

Who needs the anti-Knicks media; spend 5 minutes on any thread in here and you'll get all the free Knick negativity you can handle.

I like how the Nets are number 4 after spending two seasons struggling to stay in the basement. If we ever had to live through a 12 win season and an 18-game losing streak, this site would be a suicide counseling center run by the Kavorkian estate.

The New Jersey Nets just finished their worst season ever and just barely won enough games to avoid the worst record in NBA history. So, the idea of the Nets making the playoffs might seem absurd, but the reality is that last year's Nets team bears no resemblance to this year's team. So, here is why the Nets can have a great turnaround and get the 8th seed in the 2010-11 season.

2007-08
34 - 48 .415 (pythagorean: 32 - 50 .400)
Finished in 3rd place, 28 games out of first.
2008-09
34 - 48 .415 (pythagorean: 24 - 58 .300)
Finished in 4th place, 32 games out of first.
2009-2010
12 - 70 .146 (pythagorean: 14 - 68 .175)
Finished in 5th place, 38 games out of first.

Every year, the Knicks are a dissapointment. Every year there is another excuse, another injury, problem with the coach, problem with the owner. We went a decade without a winning record it's been 12 years since we won a playoff series, we celebrated a playoff win like it was an NBA championship this season.

I don't know when all the fans lost their standards, but this is the worst big market team in all of sports, we have been cheering for year after year. Watching the old Knicks games on MSG who was as talented as Melo or Amare? The big fella was an all time great yes, but mason, starks, oakley these guys didn't bitch or complain, make excuses, tell you they are going to start playing hard and locking in they just did it. We have had 12 years of gutless players, diva's and drama. Until the Knicks actually accomplish anything other than assembling pieces that don't fit together, trading without a plan and trying to rebuild on the fly again, the experts are just doing there job. The Knicks have no heart, they are a bunch of fake tough guys that allowed Lebron to drive to the basket without every sending him a message.

So until the Knicks accomplish something let's hope the bashing continues and let's hope the guys we brought in care enough to do something about it.

ToddTT @ 7/10/2012 10:00 AM
Bring it on Stephen A! It'll just make our success this year that much sweeter!
Nalod @ 7/10/2012 10:05 AM

The truth all becomes apparent not with the media or fanboy hope, but on the court.

Players and Management tell us what we want to hear so they sell tickets. Media pisses in our cornflakes and it sucks.

But for years the corflakes did have a strange taste.

DurzoBlint @ 7/10/2012 11:25 AM
its the little dik syndrome No one likes to know the guy next to him has a bigger dik. Little dik cities have to commit murder on the court to get mentioned on sports center while we of the Big Dik, get lots of attention :)

agreed 100%

When the Knicks win a playoff series people will care. When they knock off a real team like Mia, Chi, Bos, NJ (if they get Dwight), even ATL... the bashing will stop.

We are fugazy
