I just was thinking on the people that claim "Melo" isnt a champion or have bad blood towards him. Obviously if your in the NBA at some point YOU were that "guy" HS to college maybe. How many NBA'ers can say they won at every level(High School, College, Olympics) aside from the league. He has been winning championships till he hit the NBA. Yes he has to prove it on the big stage now, BUT hes needed that extra glue to hold him up and its been tough. I didn't want him in the olympics but after hearing his side it makes sense. Teaming up to expand your game against the best, no brainer, training with the best and having all the adrenaline in the room has to improve you mentally or get you confidence.

Im just excited about the moves done, but more on Melo carrying himself. I digress.

In May of last year, shortly after his first season with the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony discreetly had an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee.

More than 12 months after that surgery, Anthony is starting to feel the intended benefits.

The Knicks' star small forward said on Monday he's feeling "quicker" during offseason workouts. And he's crediting the surgery for that added quickness.

"The doctors said it would take a year. ... I'm just now feeling the results of that full year," Anthony said during a UStream chat with fans to promote GotChocoMilk. "I definitely don't regret the surgery."

At times in his career, some have criticized Anthony for being out of shape. But that isn't the case this summer, according to Anthony.

He said on Monday he's in peak condition for the Olympics, thanks to recent track and field and boxing workouts. Anthony also credited daily workouts and a diet change for helping him get in shape.

It will be interesting to see the effects of those workouts when Anthony takes the floor in London with Team USA.

I think we'll see an in shape Melo at the start of the season and should have a trickle down effect on the rest of the Knicks team.

I'm curious, does anyone know who belongs on the list of one who has earned a championship at all of those levels just mentioned? (H.S., College, NBA, Olympics). And no, I'm not including championships earned as a GM or a coach..

Positive video showing Melo sharing some of his secrets to the younger generation. STOP IT! Next thing you'll get UK and Knicks hater fans thinking Melo's actually a decent guy and decent player.

Not to hate, but the USA team can win without any one player. Even Lebron.

I'd say the USA team could win with the second or third level of players.

Just my take.

NCAA as a freshman was a nice run for him and you do need your team.

Melo is NOT A LOSER but at the pro level not quite a franshise player either.

Thats not me, thats just been the results! Could it change? Of course it can.

I disagree. USA Bball got trounced in 2002, 2004, and 2006. You need the best of the best or at least close to it.

We lost in the worlds and one Olympics. We lost because you had Paul Pierce in full Diva mode in 2002 and Marbles as your point in 2004.

Back then you would not have a guy like Tyson starting because he lacked star power. They did not consider position players but instead went for "Team Starphuch". Now there has to be a rhyme and reason to a roster.

Good thing we don't have to find out.

Who will provide the UK outlet for those Melo fat jokes? Where will all the concentrated hate of the collective board go?? For God's sake Melo, think of the wasted posts and frustrated threads you're going to create!!!

And I want to know why there's no in-depth statistical analysis on this thread about how Team Italy is going to dominate!

Now go teach Tyson some post moves
