EnySpree @ 7/12/2012 6:42 PM
Amare for Iggy right now....Sign Scola and the Knicks are back!!!
JamesKPolk @ 7/12/2012 6:44 PM
Why would Philadelphia want Amare for Igoudala?
CrushAlot @ 7/12/2012 6:44 PM
I think they are clearing cap for hedo and Jason and d12
FoeDiddy @ 7/12/2012 6:45 PM
With the flopping being eliminated he points will come down at least 6 points.
VCoug @ 7/12/2012 6:47 PM
He won't clear waivers.
EnySpree @ 7/12/2012 6:48 PM
Can a brother dream????? Why ya'll wanna crush my dreams????
RonRon @ 7/12/2012 7:00 PM
I guess there is a deal for Dwight/Bynum or something like that coming....

Looks like Houston might have found some use with our 2 2nd rounders

Allanfan20 @ 7/12/2012 7:08 PM
Can we give Amar'e the Summer to gather himself and hopefully get his shot and overall game back? He clearly had an off year but if he didn't, there's no way we'd want to do something like this. Lets see if last year was a fluke before anything else.... and if it was, then his trade value will become a lot higher than 'Dre and Scola.
RonRon @ 7/12/2012 7:24 PM
is this the last year to be able to use the amnesty?

So use or lose? I remember someone saying that awhile back...

There is no deal supposedly, in place for Bynum/Howard or w/e.
But Houston wants to have enough cap room to take 2 max FA+, to form a possible Dwight/Cp3 combo and build around them.

Rookie @ 7/12/2012 7:33 PM
Pretty sure it's for the duration of this CBA, but there is a time limit for this year. It might be one week after the moratorium ends...so by next week or wait till next year

I think it has to be used by 2015.

What I don't get is why Amar'e gets killed for his rebounding, while Scola can average 6.2 per game (down from a high of 8) and that's no problem.

I don't understand you....

Amare carries himself as an alpha dog, calling himself a "Beast". He is very high on himself. The truth is if he doesn't have a lane to the basket or if he can't bully his man and blow past them, he is inefficient. Rebounding.....he lets everyone take advantage of him, especially when it counts down the stretch. He puts no effort into rebounding. He finishes games with 2 rebounds, 4 rebounds way too much. Even in the playoffs....

Thing about a guy like Scola is, he is not an Alpha dog...he is not a guy you give 40 minutes to and as them to carry a team. Scola is a skilled player, but if you wanna win you play him 30 mins per. I' rather have Camby and Scola split minutes because Scola is more involved in the game besides pick and rolls...Scola can post, pass, play miami heat style defense with the flopping, etc.

Truthfully if Amare is not able to get the lane or blow by his man he is useless.

dream on man... that would be awesome. And it's realistic enough of a scenario to get me running "what ifs" in my head

Grunfeld is going to give Amare a shot to redeem himself so i understand that. I hope Amare can bounce back. Thing about my whole beef with Amare is rebounding....he has to get nothing short of 7 rebounds in any game and needs to get 12-15 more often. He needs to average 10 rebounds per game. With the way he feels about himself, I can't believe he is ok with finishing games with only 4 rebounds.

Oakley and Ewing were both elite rebounders, so was Mason. When the three of them played together, they all still got near 10 rebounds per game. Ewing always got his 10, Oak had his 9-10, Mason in limited minutes had his 7-8. There is no excuse for Amare to have 4 rebounds regardless if Tyson Chandler is around.

I can't let Amare live with this

May be because Amare gets paid 18 million dollars per season, while Scola gets 7 millions per season. With more money comes more responsibility.

He wouldn't get paid if he wasn't that good....He's becoming exposed on the Knicks. His lack of rebounding and overall skill has reduced his worth to about the same level of a Scola. The Knicks are too good to force feed him and have him on the pick and roll all game. His game is now exposed.
