Yup. As Houston and Novak demonstrated with how great of a shooter they turned Fields into

Fields was to busy with Lin to hang with those two.
On the real Brewer I believe had an injury to his arm the restricts him from being able to bring his elbow in.
I would send him to a person Like Tom House, a motion specialist, he works with athletes from different sports to help there motion. I think Brewer needs someone who can perfect a shooting motion around his condition.

Forget all that noise.
Novak, Melo, and Smith got the strokes.
Brewer can move in the paint, can pass well, has great bb IQ, and plays great D. This just made my night.

Yeah plus the Knicks are not the Bulls offensively. The Knicks have more weapons, but just needed good PG's to set them up. When we had a good PG things worked a lot better. We need to get STAT back up over 20+ along with Melo and then have the role players fill in around them. If we can get about 45-50 pts from STAT/MELO this team will be in good shape.

Really? I think Fields was busy, but not from hanging with Jeremy Lin.

I'm not crazy about 'em either. But it's amazing what surgeons are able to accomplish these days in terms of creating more of tear drop, natural looking shape. That said, I can make an exception in Elaine Alden's case

I guess I might make an exception too with a bit of prodding
I always confuse Corey Brewer and Ronnie Brewer... Ronnie is the less talented one.
Its a good pickup.
Every guy on the roster is a good defender, and the 2 guys who arent good defenders are our primary scorers which is fine. Seems like they are creating an identity which I 100% endorse.

that is the one concern. playing 4 on 5 but its only temporary til Shump returns. a Bruce Bowen type would've been perfect. someone who could defend and shoot an open 3 to spread the floor for Melo & Amare
Your asking a lot from the vet min then. A 3 point Shooter and a defender

I hope Smith still starts, we need the shooting in the lineup.
There will be plenty of SHOOTING by Smith. Good shooting? That's a different story. With that said, signing Brewer is definitely a good movie.
We really need the JR Smith from 2007-09 that shoot .40 from 3

Yeah hard to blame Fields for not working on his shot. Well at least not his basketball shot.

Novak and A'mare are our worst defenders....melo was vastly improved since joining the knicks...
I didn't realize it but Ronnie Brewer actually averaged 12 & 13 points a game while sitting over 50% two years while in Utah playing with Deron Williams. He didn't show that in Chicago. Knicks don't need him to drop 13 a night but if he has the threat to score like that the knicks are getting a bonus.

Novak's defense isn't as bad as advertised or, maybe its more accurate to say he wasn't abused on defense as we were led to expect. I seem to recall him moving his feet and being able to stay in front of his man the few times I saw him isolated defensively. Not a great rebounder but, he usually made it a point to box his man out.
Not the most physically gifted but, intelligent enough to mask his deficiencies.

A reason why I wanted Delfino is because he is a much more complete/versatile player, while both have the ability to hit the wide open 3pointers with a good look.
Delfino just brings so much more to the table, while Novak needs penetration, a post option, or at least 4 shooters to spread the floor out with him.
I could see a trade for Novak by the deadline or the summer.

his backdoor play should be vastly improved

Fields is close to 50% too. Both guys are slashers who cant shoot. Brewer will never play with a guy like deron again. What Brewer has over fields is he actually plays defense. But having a shooting guard in the starting lineup who cant shoot will hurt melo and amare because we will be playing 3 on 5 on offense

You're not gonna get a perfect player for the vet min. Like you said, Brewer is a great 2 point scorer. Like Fields, he's also a very good passer. Other than the handling of the Lin situation, I think Grunwald/Dolan have done a very good job this summer.

Thats true unlike fields he can pass and dribble without turning the ball over eveery time
