For Howard I see. Don't think there was a Knick offer, so that's pretty hypothetical the Knicks would take on those contracts.
For Nash to Knicks, it was a pretty reasonable sign and trade offer:
Nash would receive a three-year contract in the $25 million range while Phoenix would receive Shumpert and a handful of cap-friendly contracts such as Toney Douglas, Josh Harrellson and Jerome Jordan.
Don't see any bad contract taking in there, just Shumpert and some expirings by the Knicks.
P.S. 3 year/$25mill for Nash is a steal compared to you know who
18 mil for Felton?
Isn't it 3 years/$10 mill or 4 years/$18 mill. Forgot what the official contract was, but doesn't seem like much no?

Didnt we pay him about 7m per and everyone was up in arms about trading him?

I don't think the above is accurate...found it at http://www.spotrac.com/nba/new-york-knicks/raymond-felton/. It's probably $1 million more per season but still a good deal for the Knicks.

uh no, no one can. For most of his career, Felton has played like a vet min player.

if Nash was 30 that package would've been nothing

2 first and 2 seconds - nothing?
Its comical to read a thread and watch the original thread starter avoid the responses that trump his original statement. If we gave up all those draft picks the board would be up in arms. You've stated this 2 times and he conveniently skips this and picks at other arguments....
I wonder if the Knicks can get in on this action.

This isnt about nash its about dwight howard. To answer your question yes nash for 4 late round picks is a bit of a gamble but one that is well worth it for a team like the lakers. Maybe not so much for the knicks who dont have kobe, gasol & bynum. I thought I said that already earlier

Outside that season? No. Outside the first 7 or 8 weeks of that season would be more accurate.
True he was awful in denver and i watched them every time they were on tv which was often after the melo trade. Really looked out of place. But i think he will do fine in new york because he will be motivated. Hopefully for 4yrs

let's use some statistical analysis: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/feltora01.html
basketball reference's similarity scores has Ray Felton most similar thru seven years to Aaron McKie, Gerald Henderson, Luke Ridnour, John Paxson, Larry Steele, Travis Best, Austin Carr, Foots Walker, Al Attles, and Spud Webb. Are these world class players? No, but no one said they are. Are these guys who played meaningful minutes for a long time in the NBA? YES
Felton will be fine its not that hard to dump the ball to Melo. Except in the playoffs when Miami shuts down melo and amare and we dont have a 3rd option offensively to counter
