I can't see this guy making any kind of impact for the Knicks. I watched him play and I know he was battling kidney stones and all but this guy will be a worse signing than having Bibby on the team. Should have given some other player a chance instead maybe someone younger.
I'm definitely looking at a 35 year old foreign rookie with some skepticism but I wouldn't view anything he did today as evidence against his success. Kidney stones are supposed to be one of the most painful things anyone will ever experience; women who've gotten them have said they're more painful than child birth.

I tought NYK would have learned their lessons from getting Baron and Bibby last year they were old and weren't very good. I never understood the Prigioni signing I saw him play before his Kidney stones and he wasn't all that good to begin with, oh well I guess we are stuck watching him for a year.
We need a "sure thing" players.
He is a "sure thing".

How is that a sure thing. Bringing in a 35 year old has been Euro player to the NBA is a sure thing.
Hahn spoke about him and said he was solid. I haven't see. Him play but Manu speaks very highly of him and his game. He is getting paid what an undrafted rookie gets so he isn't a huge risk.

What the f does Hann know? As for Manu why wouldn't he say good things about his national team PG just making sure a friend gets a pay day.

I am not trying to find the flaws of the lowest paid player on the roster. I haven't seen him play so I can only refer to what those who have seen him play. My guess is Hahn has watched him play and that was what he based his analysis of him. So if he knows nothing after seeing him play where does that put your analysis? Also, Manu is an amazing player. I don't think he talks out his @ss.

this
yeah, lets complain about the 15th guy on the roster because that makes alot of sense. the dude isn't getting paid much. its the epitome of a low-risk/high-reward signing. do we really need to complain about everything?
Why do some people love to dump on Hahn. From what i've read and heard him say over the years he seems to be a very knowledgeable guy. I can think of a lot of other guys in the media that know far less.
Prigioni is a low risk pick up. You never know when those years of experience will kick in and he'll do something smart that wins a game for you. They never held him out to be some great player at this stage, but he's a stead hand and after watching TD destroy the team from that position sometimes all you want is a basic and smart PG play.
Here's what some may have missed if they didn't really watch the guy. Even when he's pressured by faster, bigger and younger players, he still manages to be able to make passes on target. Often we've really needed someone to make the entry pass against tough defense.
Rather see us develop a ute in the low roster spot than this guy if he won't get much burn. That Lin thing was pretty cool. Might never happen again but try.
His shot if off the few games I have seen and he is left open. He is reluctant to shoot.
Lets see what he does. Certainly comfortable in the pass first role but this is the NBA.

It's always fun to root for young players. This team is built to win now I don't think there are many indrafted rooks that have the potential to contribute like Pablo. If your the gm of a contending team and you hxve 488,000 to spend to make your team better that year,I think the smart move is to sign Pablo.
He played really well in prior games not to mention being a top PG for years overseas.
And now we are judging him by when he is playing with Kidney Stones?

He's our 3rd string PG- please name another player who would be happy being our 3rd string PG, would take the minimum and is an amazing player?! People seem to think we need an allstar for every single roster spot.
He's fine- he's shown he can play vs US players (including the 3 best PG's in the league), he's got plenty of experience, he's unselfish and he's tough. He's not going to bedazzle you but the 3rd string PG on your team isn't meant to.
To be honest, I'm more worried about having Kidd as the main back up- for some reason I'm worried he's not going to contribute anything.
Cool. Bitch and moan about a player who is leading the best players from his country (each of them playing well in the NBA) against the best 5 USA has to offer.
VMart - Are you serious?

Mrearl you are ridiculous with your fandom. Everyone here is saying he is our third string option at PG. I have seen our third string option become the hope of the team with Lin. We have seen when two old players Bibby and Davis play at their end and they were awful. Now we have to deal with an old slow footed Euro player that is hesitant to shoot when left completely open, has to learn a new league he maybe a cheap signing but it's a bad signing. There are still good options left that would better meet the Knicks needs. Has anyone here realized that we have a Jkidd on this team that is 39 years old and might go the way of Davis anytime. The fact is we have two old players and Felton who was basically a mess last season.

He's a 3rd string PG that will only get time if someone is hurt. He has experience which is great. I don't think we can be picky about finding a 3rd PG better than him. He will be one of the better 3rd string PGs in the league.

+1. He won't see the wood unless Ray Ray or Kidd get hurt.

Bibby was done and Baron was hurt and played his arse off. We don't even know how much burn Pablo is going to get. I mean have an true point guard as #3 on the depth chart really hurts the Knicks. Who should the Knicks have signed at 3rd string PG for $488K?
Felton will have a bounce back season. Even with Felton's terrible year last year he still put up 13 and 6. Lin was a one time thing. How many 3rd string PG's in the history of the NBA turned into a key member of a team other than Lin?
Is Kidd old? Yeah but he's also not our starter. Know who else is old? Steve Nash.
He is a solid pg, cut it out.
Guy is only making minimum rookie salary wage, what a waste of thread space. Knicks still have 2 more roster spaces open that they can fill out the roster with other players.
