First of all I want to say that I like our team. i like the veterans and i think we are the most stable that we have been. Now most agree that we have a 2-3 year window to win and then it will be back to rebuilding and probably losing seasons. I think we will do well but if we do get eliminated early will fans consider this team a failure?

After 12 years of misery i need to see at least a conference final appearence although that wont be good enough at least its a deep playoff run which i havent seen since JVG

I can’t believe it took more than 10 years to build a team that can only content for 2 or 3 years, I guess that’s life in Dolan’s paradise.
Depends on what factors play into it
health issues would negate it say we have tons of injuries and face the Heat in the 1st again. BUT if we face any other team in the 1st Round no excuses
I see us in the playoffs facing
Washington in the 1st Round- 4-1
Indiana in the 2nd Round- 4-1
Miami in the Conference Finals- L 4-3

Dolan is an idiot. I mean i still wonder why he didnt let Walsh do his damn job. I mean getting Melo in FA and using some of our trade chips for Chris Paul/Deron Williams might have let us go deeper faster

The rest is history. Dolan hires men to do patch work year to year instead of fulfilling a vision. Teams with long term visions succeed. Miami did this with Lebron. Based on the results, I'd say Dolan cares more about profits than substance of a championship. He is impatient.
Depends for me on who they play and how far they go. Hard fought 7 game series where they left everything on the floor or a quick exit like last season? if Stat, Melo, or Chandler, are out for a significant part of the season and they still make the playoffs and go down fighting against one of the better teams in the east, its hard for me to be mad at them because that could happen to any team.

If anyone in the east eliminates the Knicks other than the Heat it would be a failure, they have the talent and depth to beat anyone and give the Heat a run for their money, I would expect a 7 game epic series in the conference Finals vs Miami.

Naaaahh Not a valid excuse especially if we draw the Heat in the first round as a better or worse seed. We knew what the heat were before we facelifted this team after it's first couple facelifts. You either put a team together to beat them or leave your team alone and let natural progression run it's course.
