GOOD THING THEY HAD A FULL CAMP TO PLAY TOGETHER ALL HEALTHY....(rolling eyes)

Oh Wait

They aren't all healthy during the full camp and no need to make a bid deal about it if they miss 1-2weeks of the full camp.....

Alternate Take

Popper: "So have they filled the roster with finishers or just plain finished? One week into camp there are little signs of trouble."

The Answer Man: Every NBA team has injuries. Derek Rose went down with a horrendous injury to his knee and suddenly the Bulls are changed, possibly for months, perhaps years. No one knows.

Popper: "In an arduous NBA schedule it's hard to imagine a group that includes the 40-year-old Kurt Thomas, 39-year-old Jason Kidd and 38-year-olds Rasheed Wallace and Camby is going to survive without more than its share of problems."

The Answer Man: Kurt Thomas played 53 games averaged 15 minutes. He also shot 47 percent from the field. Cool. In NY he will be counted on for about 10-12 minutes a night.

Jason Kidd played 48 games and averaged 28 minutes last season. Playing behind Ray Felton, he can play 15-20 effective minutes with less wear and tear. Pablo Prigioni is insurance. Prigioni is a huge leadership upgrade over Toney Douglas.

Marcus Camby played 59 games and averaged 23 minutes. Backing up Tyson Chandler, who averaged 33 minutes in 62 games, translates into both playing fewer minutes for both. How? There are 48 minutes. Chandler can go 30 and Marcus can go 18. See how that works?

The best part? Any quality time that Rasheed Wallace can bring is a bonus. He can cameo at center or get Amar'es back for 8-12 minutes of defensive mayhem and long distance shooting.

Piece of Cake.

They are old-er, so yeah, get used to it until they make it past the first round of the playoffs.

They always said this about the Celtics. Rookies don't win in this league. Relax.

Is any combo of toney, Jordan, gadz, balky kneed jeffries and Jorts as good as camby? I am pretty sure 2-4 of those guys aren't in the league after camp cuts. Jeffries was amazing but he had serious knee issues.

nixluva @ 10/8/2012 4:30 AM
Basically Camby has a sore muscle. I mean this isn't the end of the world. You just rest it and let it heal and take it from there. It's being blown out of proportion. Until he actually misses regular season games I say MEH!

The Celtics big three plus PJ Brown were all older but that ignores the valuable contributions they got from Rondi, Perkins, Powe, and Big Baby all of who were very young during their title run. Who are the young corresponding young guys on our team?

I agree. However i think he might have meant other than 3 point shooting. I men most fans know that novak has the most accurate 3 point shot in the league However he cant do much else

misterearl @ 10/8/2012 10:15 AM
IrishKnickFan - so you are saying that other than dunking in people's faces and protecting the paint, Tyson Chandler is not that good?

No i was talking about Novak. When did i ever mention Tyson? I love Tyson in fact i feel he is the captain. I also love Novak but i was just saying that his defense needs work. Misterearl i was agreeing with YOU

Yeah, only shooting 3's accurately and consistently at the very top NBA level is a very minor skill set to have. All that can do is change games. Quite the pity that that's all he can do.

And I'm sure "Brewer is not that good..." can be construed to mean that he can't shoot threes lights out, so what good is he? Plus he's injured, so like the rest of this team, he's day-old dogshit.

Welcome to Negative World, ladies and gentlemen. Buckle up, it's going to be bumpy ride.

Let he who has never had a brain fart, or misjudged the tone of the digital word, raise their right hand.

IrishKnickFan - never confuse a little chin music with being nasty. Nasty is talking about someone's Moms. Or saying you have bad breath.

It's only basketball. The Answer Man ain't never mad with nobody.

No problem. Its just that I was agreeing with you. Im a big Novak fan and agree that he is the best 3 point shooter. HOWEVER he still needs to work on his defense and rebounidng but we really dont need him to do that so its no big deal

Ahhhh Ahh Ahhh don't forget

Tony Allen(you know probably the first Shumpert). Don't forget Allen/Pierce/Garnett were 31/32yrs(only like 2-3yrs older than Melo/Chandler/Amar'e not 38/39/40) factoring heavily on team success. With exception to K.G.(as Paul and Ray played college basketball for a couple yrs)..... we also have to keep in mind not yrs of age but mileage. Amar'e and Melo coming into the league at 18/19yrs of age. This makes them older than what they are.

Let's not forget Boston won 66gms that season, so are we saying Knicks are braced for a 60win season too?
