so...the season is finally here and my raptors will be making a run for the playoffs...but it's also knicks opening night against the netropolitans of brooklyn.

so what better way for you all to begin melomania (trademark marv) than to get together and enjoy watching two disgusting overrated old loser scrub teams face off on opening night!!!

location is to be determined but reply here if you are going to attend.

this will also serve as a great group therapy session to get over potential all star landry fields' departure...

what makes it worse is taht going into the game all thse nba analysts will be going gaga over the nets. I would love to win by 20

I feel ya on that, Marv.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, am a KNICKS fan for Life, and then they put the damn Nets arena less than 20 blocks from my house. That Barclays Center is an abomination (and looks like an old, rusted spaceship wreckage), and I have to deal with that insult every day, and looking at these sucker ducks with this wack "Brooklyn Nets" gear on.

I'll be at the game, in the building on Nov. 1st, along with my co-worker Lou (who came to the UK Knicks meetup when we all last went to the Knicks game a few years ago). If you guys will be in the immediate area, we can come through after the game.

My hate for the Nets is as strong as my undying loyalty and love for the Knicks. Those chump may have moved to BK, but that does not mean that they have earned the right to be there, and DAMN sure doesn't mean that REAL Knicks fans would switch to the Nets.

I'll be there, ready for WAR... With my new black NBA Store custom Knicks hoodie with the huge orange NYK token logo, just to show those Nets fans that they don't own the color black in this town (despite the Knicks not wearing black this year- whatever!). I've scheduled that next day (Friday, 11/2/12) off from work so I will be ready to hang out late and celebrate (hopefully a NYK WIN) with the UK fellas!

Where will the meetup be taking place? Let me know if any suggestions are needed- I know several cool spots around that way.

I was also thinking that we should invade the Barclays Center, and have our meetup right in their arena. There are supposed to be a few sports bars in the Barclays Center. That would be one hell of a takeover.
