callmened wrote:THIS IS WHY I DONT LIKE POLITICS! People start to accuse each other of being racist, sexist, etc etc. It's like religion, its a belief system and you are what you are. I don't see the point of arguing it and heres why:1. Both sides can claim that their right and the other is wrong
2. You're not gonna change the other person's mind
3. Most people I know DON'T know whats going on anyways (unless you REALLY follow politics)
I'm not afraid to admit that I DON'T understand all of american tax codes and foreign policy. Last night's debate was completely over my head. All I care about are a few topics (Health Care and education) - simply because of what I do for a living.
I don't THINK anyone on here is a racist, sexist or whatever. I HOPE to hear all thoughts from BOTH sides; but not at the expense of insulting each other. (Lets keep the insulting to the court)!
just my $0.02
Thank You. Just because i don't like obama doesnt mean im racist. In fact i have no problem having an african american or a women president

Perhaps the issue IKF, as described in some of your confusing posts on basketball, is you need to take more time with your words.
Think before you write, because you only back yourself into a corner by being careless.

Let it go. Please. No one called you a racist. Ever. Are you so defensive you need to cower behind a word that you injected into the conversation?
Read my lips - no one called you a racist. You have YET to find it anywhere. Sheesh.

IKF - I do not hate you. You are strokes on a keyboard. I know nothing about you. The idea was to demonstrate how your words taste.
Bitter, huh?
One more thing IKF, if you believe in the Republican mantra of personal responsibility, the fact your relatives are out of work (a bad place to be for anyone) is less the fault of The President - any president - that it is of their own personal choices. Republicans like Romney believe they should sink or swim. Is that what you think?
Sincerely hope your people get it together soon because you gotta eat.

Ok i apologize. Just when you ask me a question try to do it without saying im simple minded because it isnt nice
Nice?
IKF - my false assumption is that you are an adult. If you are underage, the apology is mine.

misterearl what makes obama great in your opinion? Im just asking a simple question
Every day the market tanks is really hurting Obama. For him to win the market needs to have an upswing or at least be stable. Days like today are not helpful.
I thought this was done after debate 1 and I don't see anything that would change my mind. President Obama has no one else to blame but himself for this loss that easily couldve been a win.

How so??..The market moved from 6600 to 13,500 on his watch...He received zero credit for that...Now, it's on him??

It's all about momentum. If the market keeps going down (fair or not), I think he might lose.
This has nothing to do with Romney since he is the incumbent and is sort of shielded from blame or responsibility here.
Its just my prediction.

Ten Reasons Obama Makes A Much, Much Better President Than Mitt Romney
10. Obama is clear about where he stands on issues. How can you vote for Romney when you don't even know what he really believes?
9. Obama fought to save General Motors and the American Auto industry, which fuels thousands of supplier jobs, with a loan.
8. President Obama signed the Lillie Ledbetter Act, his first legislation. if you love your Mom, sisters or daughters - you could look it up.
7. Barack has a decent jumpshot. He fills out an NCAA March Madness bracket. He busted a three point shot on tour while visiting troops abroad.
6. Know anyone in the military? The President increased funding for returning veterans. Republicans voted against it.
5. President Obama is respected around the globe. Romney botched the layup of saying something nice during the Olympics in London. He was labelled "Mitt The Twit". If Romney cannot handle London, how would he deal with real pressure from China or Egypt?
4. The President understand that Northern Africa is a complicated and delicate issue. It is not the Middle East. It is Africa.
3. The President fights for student loan programs (Pell Grants) so college becomes more affordable
2. Obama showed his tax returns. What is Mitt Romney hiding?
1. The President is smart. It is good to be smart.
IKF - it is your turn to produce ten reasons to vote for Mitt Romney...
Or, your rebuttal on all ten issues listed is appreciated. Sincerely.
Your turn...

Have you ever voted republican? I am just trying to figure out if you might be biased/partisan.

Again, it's either insane or wishful thinking to say Obama dominated because that just isn't true
If you going to tell the story, tell the whole truth...The majority of people they asked those questions were Republicans and they haven't released the percentage...So if you ask 60/65% of Republicans and came away with 48% for Obama, well dominance probably took place...
so you're saying that CNN only mostly polled Republicans? Source?
Actually in the "poll of polls" Obama won the debate by 16 points (meaning you take the average of all the instapolls)
