Romey barely 'won' on the 'would you be more likely to go with the other guy' polling question 25% to 24%

Again, it's either insane or wishful thinking to say Obama dominated because that just isn't true

If you going to tell the story, tell the whole truth...The majority of people they asked those questions were Republicans and they haven't released the percentage...So if you ask 60/65% of Republicans and came away with 48% for Obama, well dominance probably took place...

so you're saying that CNN only mostly polled Republicans? Source?

Actually in the "poll of polls" Obama won the debate by 16 points (meaning you take the average of all the instapolls)

Q. MrKnicksShot - Have you ever voted republican?

A. Only when Republicans are clear they share my values and ideas on how to make the world a better place.

I don't think Romney is superior.

I also think that 10 reasons from a biased voter on a sports MB is a bit silly. On a political board, I am sure that republicans, democrats and independents can list their creative top 10's and they can all agree to disagree.

Picking on IKF is not that fair either.

Idiot?

Really? Do you enjoy making stuff up to make yourself feel better?

Or can you rebut any of the ten reasons listed why Obama is superior to Romney? Not equal. Superior.

So far the only thing you have done to back your political view is whine about someone not being fair. Then MrKnicksShot jumps in with a back massage to make you feel better. No one deals with issues.

11. Paul Ryan voted against funding to provide more student aid eleven times. Eleven.

Sheesh.

Hate has no material bearing on this race. Obama destroyed John McCain and was President for 4 years. Hate did not make Obama act like he was on Quaalude's during debate 1 where he could've sealed the deal--Obama did it himself. He's losing to a man who was caught on video saying 47% of the country was irrelevant. Obama lost this by himself.

Putting the cart before the horse aren't you? According to http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com... Obama's still a pretty much overwhelming favorite to win reelection.

I'm just amazed...A guy who said 47% of the country think they are entitled, meaning mostly the poor and middle class....Holds no real positions, he has shifted his stance about three times on every issue...In 2004 this was a big issue with Kerry, flip/flop anyone???...Is on record with a plan to increase the deficit by 8 trillion dollars with no way of paying for it...Initially wanted to arm the rebels in Syria unknowingly with Al Qeada in their midst then changed his mind...Would not release his taxes before 2011...Has most of his money in the Caymans and Switzerland...Has endorsed the Republican gameplan of trickle down as economic engine to bring back this country...His party has lost 3 of 4 debates...He has been seen lying on Television about is positions...His son owns the voting machines in Ohio..Yet, my friends, he has a chance to win it all...What a country...

Obama's done a great job of attacking Mitt Romney but about as bad a job as any incumbent I can remember of defending his 4 years, especially on domestic policy.

Most of the country does not care or is smart enough to care about issues. They are mostly partisan and based their view on listening to talking heads. You are not going to win or lose a debate in Alabama.

The economy was tanking, 3000 people were killed on American soil, and Bush is moron but he somehow did a much better job defending his achievements than Obama has done. I don't get it.

MKS - Silly? You must feel a domestic terrorist like Rush Limbaugh (who is paid $400M to spit hate into a megaphone) is silly? Having a media machine like Fox News, dedicated to demeaning every act of a president is not that silly.

You want silly? Making up an arbitrary figure of 45-50 per cent is silly. It has been researched that 20 per cent of Americans would never vote for Obama, no matter what his policy positions are. You do the silly math, which is reinforced on a 24-hour basis to the fearful and threatened via AM radio networks like Clear Channel (which happens to be owned by Bain Capital). Net result?

The Tea Party.

Silly, huh?

Five Domestic Facts On President Obama

1. Provided the Department of Veterans Affairs with more than $1.4 billion to improve services to America's Veterans

2. Significantly expanded Pell grants, which help low-income students pay for college

3. Established Credit Card Bill of Rights, preventing credit card companies from imposing arbitrary rate increases on customers

4. Require health insurance plans to disclose how much of the premium actually goes to patient care

5. Created more private sector jobs in 2010 than during entire Bush years

Someone, anybody, please give me five policy positions owned by Mitt Romney that are more compelling.

Pretty please.

America is wonderful. Freedom of speech is wonderful. I certainly appreciate our freedom of speech even if that means that we have blowhards like Rush who spew venom taking advantage of it.

There are always idiots at both extremes and that is what keeps the middle at the middle even it sways. If the right has done a better job of promoting crazy, that is their prerogative in the exercise of freedom.

I don't know what you are doing by posting lists. Who are you arguing with? Convincing? Campaigning?

If people are anti abortion and pro israel and feel that Romney fits that bill better for them? Good for them.

Its a wonderful country. Tea party making noise? It all corrects itself.

misterearl what makes obama great in your opinion?

Ten Reasons Obama Makes A Much, Much Better President Than Mitt Romney

10. Obama is clear about where he stands on issues. How can you vote for Romney when you don't even know what he really believes?

9. Obama fought to save General Motors and the American Auto industry, which fuels thousands of supplier jobs, with a loan.

8. President Obama signed the Lillie Ledbetter Act, his first legislation. if you love your Mom, sisters or daughters - you could look it up.

7. Barack has a decent jumpshot. He fills out an NCAA March Madness bracket. He busted a three point shot on tour while visiting troops abroad.

6. Know anyone in the military? The President increased funding for returning veterans. Republicans voted against it.

5. President Obama is respected around the globe. Romney botched the layup of saying something nice during the Olympics in London. He was labelled "Mitt The Twit". If Romney cannot handle London, how would he deal with real pressure from China or Egypt?

4. The President understand that Northern Africa is a complicated and delicate issue. It is not the Middle East. It is Africa.

3. The President fights for student loan programs (Pell Grants) so college becomes more affordable

2. Obama showed his tax returns. What is Mitt Romney hiding?

1. The President is smart. It is good to be smart.

IKF - it is your turn to produce ten reasons to vote for Mitt Romney...

Or, your rebuttal on all ten issues listed is appreciated. Sincerely.

Your turn...

10. Yes - he is clear in his speeches but result is a mess - see economy, healthcare, Middle east, Iran, Russia
9. Yes - he saved them. But I believe the inept companies must be closed so the better once can take the market share and employ the workers to do real job which produce wealth and not taking money from the pockets of taxpayers.
8. Lillie Ledbetter Act is not about Woman or minorities but about all workers pay discrimination. In real life it makes owners extra couscous in raising salary for good performance and even hire new workers because they afraid to get prosecuted by current employees.
It make much harder for woman and minorities to get a job in first place.
7. Jump-shot is not debatable - the best tool for modern political leader. They are all jump and shoot.. in the dark.
6. The military funding increase was blocked by republicans for political reasons. I agree that reps sucks but this has nothing to do with Obama
5. Obama is respected in Russia, Middle East Arab countries, China, and even Iran because he is soft and take US out of the game.
4. Middle East and North Africa have the same issues - Arab-muslim terrorism and Jihaddism, tribal wars, brutality and Middle Age Sharia society.
3. Pell Grants ($5.5K) is not a subject for removal. It is not adequate to provide any decent education too.
2. Obama is on payroll - he has income tax from his salary, Romney is businessman so he pays the taxes on profits and estates. First is public second is confidential and probably in the range of 15% as for any other people like him.
1. Being smart does not mean being good or successful. But better that being a moron. Looks like Romney is not a moron too.

I am not really a Romney fan. He may fail miserably. But Obama already failed so why not to try something new. Some change for a change.

nixluva @ 10/24/2012 5:42 PM
The world better hope to God that Obama is re-elected instead of Romney gaining the presidency. Romney is an empty suit. Someone please explain what Romney actually stands for? Romney is literally looking to do what every Republican President looks to do. Cut taxes in a manner that shifts money to the upper class. We don't need anymore of the Republican War and profiteering scams. I'm so tired of dumb Americans voting against their own interests. WAKE THE F UP!!!

Look at the deficit busting policies Bush left this country

Look at the growth of Government Spending under Republicans vs. Democrats

Look at all the Job losses caused by Bush and how with no help from Republicans Obama turned it around

Yet here we are again willing to give a chance to another Republican talking about cutting spending and yet proposing to spend 8 Trillion with no way to pay for it. That is even worse than Bush!!!!

"Our number one priority should be to make Obama a one term president" - House Leader Mitch McConnell (R) in 2009

Romney's Business Experience

There is nothing Presidential about taking the profits made from sending jobs to China, and hiding them in Switzerland to avoid paying taxes in America, hence freeloading off the people whose very jobs you took.

arkrud - what, in particular, about Romney's policy stances appeals to you the most?
