Lin with another bad shooting game but hey he grabbed 6 boards 3 assists and if he keeps doing just the little things and not shoot well he may end up on the bench. It's early but he needs to pick it up. I really hope he does. Also, Those complaining about Harden hurting his game I do not believe James played the 2nd half. I missed the 1st 4 minutes.

he won't end up on the bench, the rockets are rebuilding with he, harden and asik... lin is averaging 7 dimes and almost 5 boards a game with almost 3 steals, he isn't going to any bench.... he is a shade under 11ppg.. once his shooting gets a bit better, you will see his scoring go up a bit... Harden was sick and should not have played at all tonight... he didn't play in second half..

You really make up a lot of excuses for Lin and Harden. I get being a fan but bruh come on. Lin and more so Harden are now leaders of that team. Plus they are suppose to be players that make people around them better. IF Harden is a supa star beast why isn't he carrying the rockets which has a good team. I do watch the Rockets so lets not go "you must not watch their games". Harden was a decent defender but with that added pressure of being the alfa that has disappeared and yes he gets asst but he also turns the ball over.

Bottom line: Lin and Harden needs to step up. I hope Lin does and although I am not a Harden fan I don't want to see him fail.

FoeDiddy @ 11/20/2012 4:07 AM
Lets be honest..Lin is playing like crap..scouting is a hell of a thing. He's not unknown anymore so he really needs to work extra hard to fix his weaknesses.

What makes you think his shooting will get better? It's not just like he's just missing open jump shots, the wild layups he was throwing up last year aren't going in anymore and he can't go left, the book on him is out. He's a decent player I always said he would be a solid backup PG not a starting PG let alone a star.

Gallo could always have a big game here and there. The issue is consistency.

Lin is playing very well with the exception of his shooting which has been horrible. He was getting to the rim last night again without any help from his bigs in setting up the screens. He is just flat out beating his man. Last night, he should have another 10+ assist night but as usual Asik, Patterson and the crew can't seem to finish or hit open shots. In the first half with Lin getting to the rim at will and Harden being sick and could not make a shot, they were hanging with the Jazz. As soon as Lin goes out, the Rockets goes down by 10. Really not hard to understand if you watch with an open mind and just watch basketball.

That is the biggest weakness on Gallo. Consistency. He has the tools but he needs to turn it on every night. Sometimes he defers too much.

Turning it on nightly is more than just hitting a few shots...Turning it on night involves working in the off season to get in a certain condition to be able to get up for every game...Turning it on nightly involves your approach to the game mentally not matter what city you are in...It's a level of maturity which involves focus on your task and cutting down the in season distractions...Being able to mentally to get up for a game when you body isn't up for a game...U have to know what players you are signing onto to be your consistent go to guy night in and night out...Gallo has been averaging 15 point per game the last 5 seasons..He is still doing things the same as a player...When is he going to dedicate himself to be different..Does he have the hunger to be different..

Can't argue with that. I am not privy to his off season workouts but my take is that....Does Euro players have it in them to be the alpha dog in the NBA? The only euro player that I saw that exhibited this was the late Drazen Petrovic.

Dirk Nowitzki 2011 playoffs was as Alpha as it gets.

Dirk..Thank you. I thought about Tony but he had Duncan. Nash I don't count since he went to college here. Marciulonis I don't think was an alpha. Sabonis was already shot when he got here. Gasol? I don't know...maybe.

Marcilonius was probably the toughest Euro player to play in the NBA..But the list I provided are guys who work at their craft and come ready to play evey night...

Drazen Petro was also Alpha just ask Jordan

3G4G @ 11/20/2012 1:13 PM
Gallo isn't "Ready at the Door" player and I mean before he even hits the Arena. When it's game night the first door he walks through gets out of, to start the day is the Door he should be ready at. Quite possibly the door on a plane/hotel/practice gym/bus. Not sure if he'll ever be this type of player. usually you have this personality or you don't. You also have players on the other extreme of spectrum such as BustBrook and Melo which can be a detriment to a team

Gallo is more David Banner in Nature

You know you got to hit him over the head with a pipe, sucker punch him in the gut, body slam him, slice him buck fiddy style with a pocket knife across the chin/neck, kick dust in his eyes...

Then he'll start convulsing, scrunching his eyebrows, turn red, his clothes will start ripping and shredding then he's throwing tractor trailors, wild beast hundreds of yrds, splitting parts of the earth in half etc etc morphing into the Hulk.

The act is getting a little old from him. I would like to see him take the leap to the next level as he's been given all the opportunity to do so. There's no one holding him back or several times more alpha than him where he has to defer to.

A player I've been watching quite a bit this year since preseason is Nicolas Batum this dude is for real..... as is Thaddeus Young and Kahwai Leonard. Who in my estimation are better players than Gallo. I'll give some credit to Derozan too. He has stepped up and appears to be trying to live up to the bill along with Jrue Holiday.

Gallo should be better than most of these guys or at least at the very Top of this crop of talent. Heck on many nights Ryan Anderson/Illyasova/Chandler Parsons are better than him. This shouldn't be the case not a player with Gallo's skillset..... once again Gallo has been protected and coddled throughout his career he has no excuses. He should be doing 1 if not 2 things very well in the NBA every game not every 6 or 7gms.

So when they play the Wolves next on their schedule and he shoots 5-17fg starting out the game 1-8fg or Alexey Shved has a bigger game impact than him..... it makes his Grizzlies performance less.

With all that said Gallo is still 24yrs old and I wouldn't have given up on his talent along with the rest of the assets just yet in the package for Melo

NYKBocker @ 11/20/2012 1:45 PM
I still love Gallo. I think he will be fine. As 3G4G has said, Gallo is only 24 years old. You need to give him at least another 3 years before saying he is nothing but a role player. He has way too much talent to be discarded right away.
