KD also had 7 rebounds and 8 assists. He has really become a complete player with his improved passing this year.

that's in a tough western conference, we play in the eastern

They are one win away from 50, and given their last few seasons its still a hell of an improvement and made the playoffs! PJ has done an admirable job with that team. They don't need much to get to the next level but I like they way they are going about things.

I'd like to see Knicks and Brooklyn play a series! Lets start a rivalry!

Compare that with how easy Miami has it- Bucks (who are terrible- don't deserve to be a playoff team) followed by Hawks (only impressive thing about them is how they finished with such a good record) or Nets (likewise).

So who makes 8th seed in the West- LA or Jazz?

That is business as usual. 2nd and 3rd seed always has a tougher road than the 1st seed.

When we had a discussion a couple weeks ago about our plight compared to Denver, fans said we have an easier path to reaching the ECF and more than likely the Finals than Denver WCF/Finals. I said our path to reaching either destination is no more easier any which way you slice it. Especially if Baby Momma, Cry Baby Rosey comes back.

Since Tomorrow is always gonna come and when it arrives reality always sets in at that point.

The records speak for themselves.

Boston is the 7th seed. IF we can't dispose of them then the great fear is:

the failure will speak for itself.

Forget Boston, its a 7th seed.

Real fear is the one and done for Melo will perpetuate. He'll get his 20 million either way.

Get that, the Spurs could be vulnerable.

I realize no Kobe but are lakes better (under MDA) without their ball stopping star?

MDA and his "PointGuard" ways make for an intersting series. When he has his "PG" some how the magic starts!

A series worth watching. If the get with OKC they likley toast.......

And.....They are not clinched for any see yet. They don't own the tiebreaker!!!!!

Actually the rest of the team played about as good as they can with the exception of D12 for a while and Pau for most of his time this year. You can't say anything bad about Blake, Meeks, Clark, MWP etc. They did a decent job filling their roles. Especially when Kobe played the role of a distributor 1st and scorer 2nd. Just look at the teams record when Kobe had fewer points and more assists and there's no question what the best role for him was. That's why the team seems to play better than you'd expect when Kobe isn't playing. The ball moves and other guys can get more comfortable.

Kobe never really needed to be taking a ton of the shots but he had to learn to trust his teammates and use his skill and attention from the defense to make his teammates better. That's all MDA wanted him to do, but there were times when he reverted to selfish Kobe and the team struggled. No they're not better without Kobe, but that depends on WHICH Kobe we're talking about.

Lakers are gonna need Nash at some point if they hope to go far. I don't know if he's gonna be able to get healthy soon enough tho.

I remember how many people practically gave the Lakers the championship when they traded for D12. It was crazy.

But crazy as it may seem, its now when the Lakers are more dangerous. As you said, the ball will move better, MDA-style, and D12 seems to be motivated to play his best now.

As if scripted for a movie, the Lakers can make the playoffs and knock Utah out of the bracket and Houston out of the 7th spot with a win against the Rockets. The fun has already begun.
