George Karl has gotten out of the first round in Denver once in 8 trips to the playoffs. He also lost in the first round twice in Seatle when he had Kemp and Payton and his team was winning close to 60 games every year.

Bogut thrived and showed us why he was the no. overall pick and Steph curry who has been riddled by injury most of his career is healthy and also stepped his game up.
Some players step up into the spotlight of the pressure and PERFORM! Im sure Denver is very disappointed but GSW showed its DNA and what they have been building for. Their lineup is nasty.
When you win 57 games it brings expectations. Knuggs did not live up to it.

if they were in the west they would have had a different schedule and different game plans. Who knows what they would be like.
That's a pretty desperate argument IMO. Boston won only 19 of their 42 games against over .500 teams and were only a .500 team in the east. They're old, slow dinosaurs. No way they make it in the west. It would be a miracle if they actually improved their W-L record out west to 45-37.

If PJ gets to the second round I'm guessing his job is safe unless Prokhorov can convince Phil Jackson to come to Brooklyn. If the Bulls make it to the second round and Rose doesn't play he should stay clear of the shootarounds. Feels almost like taunting for Rose to show up and go on a dunking exhibition before games.
I'm very impressed with the Job Mark Jackson has done at GS. Didn't believe he would be this successful this soon. You don't become number 3 on the all time assists list without having a high bball IQ, but I didn't know he would turn out to be be such a great motivator. Someone on TV mentioned his background as a preacher, I think they're on to something.

That may be true, but I expected more from you. We all know despite how Boston plays in the regular season they are a playoff team. That's the only thing that matters to most veterans. All the mistakes and lack of defense that GS exhibited will not be tolerated in Boston. So you can call them old, and slow but for how many years have people been saying this? Some fans were very delusional to think we would sweep these guys, they don't give up. Always had this series going 6-7 games.
Hopefully the Hawks even up their series- we need that one to go on as long as possible. For all the hype Paul George has gotten this year, he seems to play much, much worse in away games.

Exactly.. denver will be fine... the key is they have the resources to improve that team.... GS is another good young team and I expect they will battle for years to come... that is exciting from a basketball fan perspective..

what all of those wins will do for Denver is create a culture of winning.. plain and simple.. you develop a culture of winning, year after year, you set yourself up to be in line to win a championship... Denver is young, they have assets and a good coach, next year, their goal should be 60 games... And to correct the problems they had in the playoffs this year,and to be healthy of course.. developing a winner is a process, just can't throw a bunch of stuff in a pot and call yourself a winner.. doesn't work that way....

Eric Gordon makes the MAX. OJ Mayo wants to be paid. Eric Gordon also has bad knees. They aren't getting either player without ponying up real assets not spare parts.
McGee is who he is. There is reason he was a fool in Washington. He is the same fool just now his minutes are limited. Waiting on Javale McGee to turn the corner is a fools errand.
Denver is going to have to spend or trade assets to get better like every other team.
Denver is the new Portland, on the rise with all their "young" talent.
