Morale low? Nuggets playoff tickets went for $3 for Game 5 vs. Golden State on Tuesday April 30th.

Stress was mounting for George Karl and his Nuggets before Game 5 of their playoff series against Golden State. But
for fans, the feeling may be ennui (or doldrums? malaise?).

Tickets to Tuesday night’s game in Denver that was a do-or-die game for the Nuggets can be had for the bottom-basement price of $3 on StubHub (as of 4 p.m.) LOL

There were nearly 30 tickets available for less than $10.

Now I know why Melo wanted out of there with Karl as head coach.

you are such a desperate human being.. LOL.. where is ice and prodson when you need them..

Denver should be proud though, they fought hard and never gave up. They'll be back I ain't even mad. The only thing disappointing is not watching another game by these two teams.

Denver should be proud??..Hahahah..alternate universe???..Denver was picked by some alnalysis as the third likely team to win it all...Karl gets a pass again ...MDA gets a pass..If Woody and the Knicks don't make it to the ECF, there will be hell to pay...

denver exceeded expectations from the start of the year.. the knicks are a win now or fold tent team.. no matter how much you want to clown denver.. they are young and only getting better... if the knicks don't win this year.. it will be time to take an enema to this team.. plain and simple.. can't deflect.. knicks made this trade for now... this is not a long term team, which is why teams like Denver and GS and other young good teams will get more rope.. plain and simple...

Dude you keep exposing yourself.

Knicks are in win now and can push the reset button anytime. We have Melo to build around. He is proven.

Nuggets are "hoping" Gallinari, Lawson, McGee, or Faried can become "that guy" for them.

Plenty of young teams are going to fall off soon enough. Golden State isnt going to pay Barnes, Thompson, and everyone else. So they have a short window as well.

Knicks have plenty of capspace summer 2015 so I don't see how those other teams futures are so bright and the Knicks are so gloomy.

LOL , Ice and Prodson are gone , but Swish is still around, he know these Nuggicks will be the Buffalo Bills of the NBA without going to the finals with Karl at the helm.

LOL, exposing myself? as what, superior in basketball knowledge?

how can the knicks push the reset button at anytime with amare's contract, chandler's contract and carmelo on this team.. with no young players other than shumpert and no picks?

HOW????
Nuggets are "hoping" Gallinari, Lawson, McGee, or Faried can become "that guy" for them.

dude they won, 57 games, what is that guy? they are already very productive, what denver hopes like any other team is that they keep improving.. there is no secret with those guys.. they can already play... maybe they trade some of these guys.. Denver has options.. that is the key...

Golden State isnt going to pay Barnes, Thompson, and everyone else. So they have a short window as well.

and how do you know that? LOL

Knicks have plenty of capspace summer 2015 so I don't see how those other teams futures are so bright and the Knicks are so gloomy.

dude we don't have picks...... but the cap space is great, when we see who we sign then we can talk about having a bright future.... cap space is great to add on to an existing foundation... the knicks will have felton, shumpert and novak... with cap space... are you excited with that? and please don't talk about resigning carmelo and building around him going into his 13th year.. come on man...

AnubisADL @ 5/3/2013 1:30 PM
Sorry to ruin it for you but the Knicks aren't willingly trading Melo anytime soon.

Knicks have moveable contracts in Chandler, Shumpert, Kidd, Novak, Felton, etc. The only terrible contract we have was signed by Donnie Walsh. The 2010 plan has come to fruition.

Knicks just need to manage their cap situation and put solid HEALTHY pieces around Melo.

Let the Knuggets fans tell it, and it was Melos fault for not advancing all those years. Melo has been gone for 2 years and they still are struggling to get out of the 1st round. Karl is the one common demoninator....

Karl's been to the ECF, WCF (twice), and NBA finals.

So does that mean Karl has peaked? I don't know maybe he is a slightly worse, maybe the same, Rick Adelman

Do coaches peak and then decline? It's not like playing the game where your body declines as you age. Maybe if he was in his 80s and losing it neurologically, that would make sense.

Maybe they do. Maybe they lean on old school thinking and do not infuse the new analytical staffs teams employ.

Or maybe you're stretching. Unless they're a Melo-apologist, anyone who looks at both Melo's and Karl's career history will say Melo is the one with much more left to prove in the playoffs.

Karl's been to the ECF, WCF (twice), and NBA finals.

That was over a decade ago....As Crush said, his last 9 trips to the playoffs, he advanced beyond the 1st round once. Just becaise he went to the finals near 20 years ago, does not exempt what he has done/or hasn't done over the last 9 years....

Nuggets flopped. It is plain and simple. After all the hoopla about their depth and how great they are and how they supposedly won the Melo trade, they flopped. I can't even believe people are trying to claim otherwise... LMAO!

Let's see how the Knick's do...

Of course Melo has more to prove. I was talking about Karl.

Let's not forget the Karl Cancer year so that should not be included. That year Denver jumped out early and may have had better results in the playoffs if Karl was there. Who knows.

He definitely had more success until the day he met Carmelo. You won't get a disagreement from me there.
I'm not drawing anything causal. Playoffs are such a small sample to begin with. I wouldn't throw out the first half of a coaches career or even just emphasize the more recent half.

Yet Uptown and the Lobbyists use a different pair of scales(a cheating pair at that) when weighing Carmelo's success/failure.

It seems like Karl is supposed to take all the blame for the 1st round exits in Denver but still can't claim any credit for the one conference finals appearance.

He lost in the 1st round the last 3 without Melo. 2 years before teaming up with Melo he lost in the 1st round, missed the playoffs and got fired....Again when does Karl take some blame for he recent shortcommings?
