Paul George just lost every most improve player points he had for wearing the button up he wore during the post game conference. Yuck.

And if Melo blew a defensive assignment and let Lebron walk in for a lay up all the good stats would be erased and the war of words would continue. Until the Knicks win a title the battle will continue.

melo shot 42.8%FG against indiana.

game 1 35.7
game 2 50.0
game 3 37.5
game 4 39.1
game 5 42.9
game 6 51.7

you add these 6 figures together to get

256.9

and then you divide this number by the number of games he played which was 6

256.9 divided by 6 = 42.8 paCENT

he had a 51.1%TS

paul george last night against the nba champs had a 64.8%TS and he had 5 assists. his usg/ast ratio was 1.33:1 which is a superior number for the small forward position.

oh and he was guarding lebron james one on one all night.

if melo was on the pacers in paul george's place the miami heat would have blown them out by 25 points.

Or if you count each shot rather than going by game, it's 43.3%. Either way, it's not 45. You're right that TS% is more important than FG% and that George moves the ball much better than Melo does.

AnubisADL @ 5/23/2013 8:41 AM
David West with a TS 63.4% while putting in 26 points.

Roy Hibbert also poured in 19 pts and 9 rebounds and defended the rim.

Must be nice playing with healthy capable teammates.

Ooh nice, both so efficient and shiny!!!

Hey Bob, what do they get with all that TS%?

A Big Loss!

So who is shooting a better percentage regardless of what the percentage is??...U think he should be orchestrating for Chandler???..Teach your buddy how to calculate percentage as well...I took my figure off espn.com last 5 games..But didn't realize the first game was missing...

Do you not realize that the column indicating the shooting percentage is labeled "FG%"?

Oh, it was a serious question? He should be sharing the ball better with everyone on the roster. The names of the players don't even matter. If you've made it to the NBA, you can hit open shots at a higher percentage than Melo (or most players) hits contested shots. How did Durant manage to average over 6 assists a game this post-season?
holfresh @ 5/23/2013 10:46 AM
Your argument was that Melo should not shoot as many shots because he is having a bad outing..He should allow others with a higher percentage to shoot...Well it turns out he has the highest shooting percentage of the starters outside of Chandler who can't shoot if his life depends on it...
holfresh @ 5/23/2013 10:48 AM

The Boston series doesn't count? Why are we not counting the reserves? They play with Melo too since he's on the court so much.
Thanks for the link. You may not realize it but it actually shows that Pablo too shot better than Melo did in the Indy series.

I think I get it now - it's just like Sir Charles. I need to be more supportive and incorrect in order to get credit from you.

Bonn..U aren't a guy looking for solutions...U are more interested in perpetuating a blind argument...Why would u look at reserves when they don't play...Your original point was that since Melo wasn't shooting well he should allow someone else with a higher percentage shoot..Novak has a higher percentage but he isn't playing is he..

Solutions aren't your goal...Anti-Melo rants are...
