I am hoping that if amare comes back, we go with a heavy dose of pick and roll instead of this iso chucking three point offense we have.. make no mistake about it, I always wanted this offense to be surrounded around a strong pick and roll scheme with back cuts and then working our way outside.... the problem I have is that oh ugly will rear his head when he is not getting 25 shots per game... sorry I just see this as a problem, and the solution is not benching amare....

Just curious - where was this said or implied? I've seen you say this a number of times but I've never seen any proof. Not saying whether you're right or wrong I just want to know why you keep saying this.

running a pick and roll offense will mean more shots for amare, heck even for chandler and rasheed and it will mean carmelo will take less shots, even some games a lot less.. this guy has shown us that he won't play nice if he is asked to even step out of his iso comfort zone.... unless he is playing on team USA where he is trumped by better players and only has to deal with it for a short period of time.. funny thing is, he did pretty well playing that role.... but when asked by dantoni, he went into derail mode, and even moreso when he found out that lin would handle the ball more than he would.... it didn't have to be said, but was implied on both occasions I just mentioned... pretty much why dantoni didn't stand a chance here with him and pretty much why lin is no longer here.... this is my opinion but I base on on a series of things I have seen and discussed over and over again.....

Team USA is nowhere name the same since everyone is so good, Melo literally just has to catch and shoot. Also, Melo played the point forward for a crap load of games last year..which was out of his comfort zone. It was when it stopped working that Melo became frustrated (dont agree with his lack of effort, though). D'antoni didnt stand a chance with him because D'antoni didnt like him. It was known that Mike never wanted Melo here. The whole Lin situation just seems like too much speculation but you did say that it was your opinion.

I mentioned team usa because carmelo was doing the very thing dantoni asked of him to do with the knicks.... remember they were running dantoni's offense on team usa, and he didn't seem to have a problem. I stated two reasons why I felt it work.... he knew it was temporary and he had to fall in line with a team of guys better than he was.... carmelo is lazy, always has been, he is not very versatile on offense other than scoring, he is a baby, he is immature... I completely understand why dantoni didn't like him.... I didn't want him here really and mike didn't want him here, and the knicks were reckless in pairing the two together, dolan gets a lot of blame for that.. another moron..

I wonder why D'Antoni doesn't like Gasol. Guy has won championships. Lakers reckless in their acquisitions?

Houston need to focus more on playing defense. Harden is a stud, but trying to simply outscore teams is not going to get you far.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--nola-hornets-to-change-nickname-to-pelicans-231227843.html

The New Orleans Hornets are expected to change their nickname to the Pelicans as early as the 2013-14 season, numerous sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Hornets planned to change their nickname since Tom Benson, owner of the New Orleans Saints, purchased the team on April 14. Benson also owns the rights to the nickname Pelicans.(Getty Images)

The Hornets also considered the nicknames Krewe (groups of costumed paraders in the annual Mardi Gras carnival in New Orleans) and Brass.

Louisiana is the Pelican State. The brown pelican is the state bird and appears on the state flag and seal, and official state painting. Moreover, the Pelicans played minor league baseball in New Orleans in all but nine seasons from 1887-1959 and in 1977.

Gayle Benson, Benson's wife, told Fox Sports New Orleans recently her preference for new team colors was navy blue, red and gold.

The Hornets came to New Orleans in 2002 from Charlotte. New Orleans has also had an NBA team called the Jazz, which moved to Salt Lake City in 1979.

Some fans of the Charlotte Bobcats are hoping to get their old Hornets nickname back. The Hornets began playing in Charlotte in 1988. Bobcats owner Michael Jordan told The Charlotte Observer he would consider changing it back to Hornets if the name was available.

thats how you beat them, let them three do what ever and stop the rest..

The heat bearly beat a 2nd unit spurs team, we blew them out, and they have had the softest schedule in the league...

IN the revolutionary war: "In 1781, General Cornwallis proclaimed Charlotte to be "a damned hornet's nest of rebellion". At the battle site at Cowans Ford, General William Lee Davidson, along with a band of Catawba Valley farmers were able to slow the advance of General Cornwallis. Early in the battle, General Davidson was shot and killed at the riverbank. A monument honoring Davidson is located near the present site of Cowans Ford Dam, but the exact location of his demise is under the waters of Lake Norman".
