I don't think Shumpert looked that unhappy after he tore his ACL. Maybe if if lettering and numbers were solid blue instead of only outlines and they added some blue piping along the edges it wouldn't be so completely awful. But, as it is now, he looks like a giant carrot.
I would have preferred to see some grey alternate unis given how they are part of the trim of the new one.

damn that would've been sweet! Kinda like the Spurs new unis
HUGE FAIL on the orange overkill.

When did we become the freakin' Denver Broncos?
Grey themed unis would also coordinate with Shump's flashy adidas kicks. Too much orange is too much. Like red, it should be used selectively, not as a primary element. They scream to the opposing defense, "hey, look at me, I'm trying to get open for a backdoor pass."
While we're thinking good design.... it is about time the MSG painted area inside the free throw lane returns back to blue.
Who is messing with my team colors like a child with finger paints?
No piping, no waist band and all solid color does make for an "Interesting" look.
Grey is not the knicks. Add Gray to the uni then they look like PHX. Its distinct and that what they go for.
Its not going to be an iconic look like the Lakers with sunday whites, but who knows maybe it becomes a tradition.
I hope the "KryptoNate" Green Goblin look is forever history. I dig the nod to St Patrick and our Irish Friends but the Celtics kind of have that locked up and we can't go there.
Im curious how it looks live and on the court. Hard to really say in teh photo. Its not a crisp look, but thats ok too. Will the color on Novak make him look jandice?
Agree with Earl on the orange overkill. I dont have a problem with the orange uni's, but they could have followed the Syracuse blueprint with som blue and white piping. White numbers with blue trim, white "New York" with blue trim, etc...
I love them... maybe a little more blue... but this is the first straight orange and blue uni I've seen. I like that
Uptown - if anything, you do not make the "New York" on the front of the jersey barely visible. The most important element of the Knicks iconic jersey is the acknowledgement of place, over the knickname.
Solution: "New York" should be white, trimmed in blue. The front numeral could have been blue, trimmed in white. Bring back the blue and white waistband.
Better Solution: The uniform could have easily been the classic version sported by Bill Bradley in 1967. With the "New York" lettering in blue, trimmed in orange. Detailed with the classic belt and satin shorts. The classic vents on the shorts are replicated, and detailed with the old school, and minimalist, "NY"
White warmup jackets, with the 1970's detailing and collars, mandatory.
I don't mind them. Alot of orange, but maybe it looks much better in action.
+25

Are we the freakin' invisble men?

I agree with that... contrast is a good thing

I think this will be great in action
and as the poll says--anything but the green!
what if they just put a blue arc behind the 'New York' and the name on the back?

I would liked to have seen a "Satin retro" look but of course with the modern baggy dimensions.
I get what your saying about the white outline and blue. The Numbers and lettering is really red which fades into the orange.
They are going for a distinct alternative look to which I can't really make an comparison on.
Hoping the orange isn't so Cheetos Orange in real life. Sometimes the color is off in some photos. Don't understand the choice when there are so many other ways they could've gone.

I think Nalod hit it on the head--it's to combat the black and whites. And I think Cheetos look even more delicious with a black and white backdrop
I love it....WOW...Awesome...
Knicks dominant color has always been orange, so it's fitting that they would finally come around and go All Orange.
When you see a Knicks logo in the background of an NBATv telecast, you notice the orange first. It's what the team is known for, the dominant color, so I'm happy that they chose to honor it and go All Orange.
Also, Melo = Syracuse = New York = Knicks. Fitting.
