Woody said Brewer will tape up his finger and play vs the Bucks, and J Kidd is listed as day to day. Back injuries are completely unpredictable- sometimes spasm just go away, so I'm hoping that's what happens. Hmm, It's been 4 weeks since Amar'es operation, so I guess that leaves 2 to 4 weeks til he's back if there are no setbacks.
we have a deep bench..Woody should spread some minutes and let these guys health up. Not really crazy about the short rotation and iso ball starting to show up again. Our biggest asset during the winning streak was our conditioning...the league has caught up as far as players in game shape and we aren't fresher then anybody...especially with the short rotation.
We really need Amare back to balance out our offense. The stagnation during critical moments kills us. Just to be able a run Pick and Pop would be invaluable.
The fact that Kidd broke down is proof of overuse IMO. Gotta find games against weak opponents where you can really get him rest and play Priggy more. I think White and Copeland are good enough to get a few more minutes and IMO what's the point of having those guys if we're just gonna burnout our top players? Melo being the main option will lead to him getting burned out if we have to have him log heavy minutes just to win. I think that's gonna be an issue if Woody can't find more rest for him.
On a side note i'm also concerned about the way things seem to be reverting to ISO ball and too much reliance on the PnR from up top. There's nothing wrong with PnR, but you can't start too many plays that way or that set where we i've the ball to Tyson at the top and teams just jump all over it. Not enough Sheed Post ups and too many Melo ISO's way out on the floor. Those Melo ISO's on the perimeter don't work and didn't work last year. He's got too far to go and then winds up taking too many long 2's.
There is such a thing as film and scouting. Woody has to make sure the team uses more variety in how we run offense.

There was no need to run felton all those minites and play prigs 10 mins..felton clearly was running out of gas, and the misses didn't help his energy either
Thats Twice so far this season where woodson has shorten his rotation and it back fired, he said after the dallas game that he made a mistake doing that.
There's no reason not to play 10 guys a night on this roster, 1 through 12 is capable of giving quality minutes..there's a lot of versatility/2 postion players
He doesn't trust Pablo and we don't have another PG on the roster so we get more Felton than we need

I miss those Prigs to Copeland lob plays. I need to see me some Krazy Eyes.
Woody definitely gotta play 10 guys with the amount of miles our guys have.
If Greg Popovich can play 10 or 11 guys a night regularly, Woodson should too. Not comparing the two coaches, just saying it keeps the older vets fresh and more productive with lesser minutes.

Whats not to trust, when has running your player into the ground benefited anyone..
I rather have my starter fresher at the end of the game, besides my starter is playing like crap, trigger happy and the defense is forcing him (5 TO's) to do dumb sht..
It's not like he did a lin impression (24 points 10 ast 6 TO's) he played like crap all the way around
When Pablo is in the game we become a 35ft 3pt shooting team. Nothing inside. At least Felton gives them some penetrationg

That's not entirely true. Prigs is good enough to make the pass to guys cutting to the basket or feed the post, or PnR. It's just a matter of who you have in there with him. You can't put a mostly perimeter line up in there and expect anything else.

Prigs and Amare will be a good marriage if it ever happens.

I think Prigs will look a lot better with Amar'e- unfortunately he just doesn't seem to fit well with the guys he plays with.
Kidd won't travel with the team and has been ruled out of the Bucks game, unfortunately. Bah!
Im starting to get a bad feeling. Injuries are piling up abd we have bad history against the bucks
Did you expect kidd to play 82 games, or were you hoping he would stay healthy til amare and shump get back..
Either ,i don't expect any knick to play 82 games except for felton
And the woody is starting to run melo into the ground..look out

Amar'e will be back mid to late December. I suspect he will play the christmas game.

Not sure if it is fair to compare one of the best coaches of all time with Woody...
Also Spurs team is together forever and we are just assembled this summer.
If we can continue to have winning % like we have now it will be a miracle.

If you re-read my post I never compared the two.
Just that they are similiar situations with older vets, and should maximize their deep roster to keep everyone fresh.
I feel like the knicks are in a little trouble. Not playing smart lately plus kidd/brewer are injuries so our depth is really wearing thin
