We let Kyre Irving come into our house and score over 40 points? The last quarter looked more and more like D'Antoni's team and not Woodson's team. How dare we allow this kid to score over 40 points on us. You see what players try to do to Melo when he goes to a basket, they try to destroy him and half of the time Melo does not even get a call. Kyre Irving should have been knocked on his ass every time he drove to the basket. We don't give up over 40 points to a 20 year old. Cleveland think and believe that they have our number and maybe they do. They surly have beaten us enough in the past 2 years. When we go to Cleveland to play them it better be a war. We should smash them and show thier point guard that every time he drives on us we will knock his ass down the same way they try to do to Melo. To me this game was a loss because it looked like we was reqressing backwards to the D'Antoni days with no defense and I don't want to hear crap about we had players missing. Woodson better wake up and make his team play hard defense for 4 quarters not 2.

Papa, you do realize that we were playing with 3 starters and our bench? I agree it was an ugly win but still a win. Ill take ugly wins to losses anyday.
It goes in the win column. It's a win.

What if that's all we may have in the playoffs. Each one of these players are pros and it's no excuse for not playing defense. And what is Felton doing? he is susposed to be a point guard not a shooting guard and shooting more that any other player on the team and when he is having a bad shooting day he keeps on shooting. Hey look I love this team and all the players and coach but I refuse to go back to the bad old days. Not having starters in the game is no excuse. Cleveland had a young team out there and when we go to Cleveland they will be ready for us.
Are you being sarcastic, or no? I can't tell bro. But yeah, how can you state that you couldn't care less about the players we were missing? That's not reality man.
We were without Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, Rasheed Wallace and Marcus Camby. That's reality on the basketball court. Rasheed and Camby may only be solid backup veterans, but the likes of Shump, Amar'e and Melo are three pure fire starters in today's NBA. On most teams that is. One of those three just so happens to be one of the greatest basketball players in the world (ask team USA). One of the greatest phenom scorers in the game today (just re-watch the olympics and/or better yet, follow Melo's campaign here in 2012-2013).
Without two starters (Melo/Amar'e) and a possible (Shumpert) along with two veteran backups at the PF and Center positions (Rasheed/Camby) and we still walked away with a victory. 10-0 at home. We're off to our 3rd strongest start in franchise history at 18-5 overall. But yet, one would question if we're starting to revert back to our old ways? Some fans can never become excited, relaxed and/or enjoyable fans.
If the season were to end today? Our Knicks of 2012-2013 would then set an all-time NBA record for fewest turnovers committed per game (during a single season). Just a little food for thought.

How can anyone take you seriously when you claim that Carmelo Anthony, not Lebron James, is the best basketball player on the planet?
Our guard defense was laughable at best.
I love Kidd but he gets abused by young guards.
I crave to see Shumpert and Kidd in the backcourt.

You could make an argument that Lebron and Jordan (and maybe even Magic Johnson) are better than Carmelo but it's a close call.
Chris Copeland starts at PF. Three starters MIA. Young stud has a career night. "MSG effect" in full swing for the opponents.
It wasn't pretty, but that's a game we lose 10/10 times in years past.

Melos greatest has been documented by other players, kobe esp.And his performance during the Olympics has been said to be the greatest by many.

Kobe claimed the other day that Carmelo was the toughest cover, for him, in the NBA, not that he was the greatest basketball player on the planet. Besides, does Kobe even guard Lebron when they play each other? And nobody claimed that Melo had the greatest Olympic performance of all time, not even after he set the Olympic record for points in a game.

Clearly. The real question is where are Felton and Woodson ranked among the alltime greats?

Really? Im really not in the mood to discuss this. Im happy we are winning and right now the best TEAM in the NBA.

Remember the days when some Knick losses people would call moral victories?
Now people are calling some Knick wins moral losses....

haha - good one.
We are such battered people that we are clueless in how to handle success
I figured this would be a tough game coming in. I'm very satisfied with the win. Irvin made some very tough shots. Not all on the defense. But, despite him going nuts like nba stars sometimes do, we found a way to win. Good enough for me. But we need Melo. No doubt.

Shit happens!
Miami allowed Felton to drop 27pts on them in Miami without Melo or Amare.
This board was way more enjoyable when the Knicks were losing. Moral loss? What in the hell is that anyway?
