This is bullshit that if you become strong your shot goes off,
You adjust to your body, MR NOVAK YOU WON'T GAIN 20 POUNDS OF MUSCLE OVER NIGHT, IT WILL TAKE TIME, and while you're doing that you'll be shooting all the time, so IT'S A GRADUAL ADJUSTMENT
Imagine Novak with some more bulk? He can be a top role player in the league.
Right now, he's too weak and too few tricks for this pony.
How many years left on the Knicks deal? He can be a much different player this time next season
Novak is pushing 30,an extra 20 lbs wont do his knees any good.
He'll strengthen all over, so he can carry the weight

Its still 20 more lbs on the knees. If he was a post player and 5-10 years younger I would agree with you. I think it was Stat who said he regretted bulking up for this reason but I could be wrong.
Why try to turn a specialist into a general purpose role player. I just want him to nail those three's and occasionally block a shot, intercept a pass or make a sweet assist. But his value is his shooting, plain and simple.

It's 20 more pounds but his knees are also getting stronger, the muscles around the joint are getting stronger
I'm really hesitant to believe anything out of Amar'e's mouth, been saying since last year that he just needs to stfu and play hard, then maybe talk later, to be honest it didn't look like he bulked up last year, it was probably all in his head,
Moonangie Why try to turn a specialist into a general purpose role player. I just want him to nail those three's and occasionally block a shot, intercept a pass or make a sweet assist. But his value is his shooting, plain and simple.
Because he doesn't need to lose his speciality, it would be win win for everyone if he had more bulk to bang against the big boys,

Like I said he's pushing 30 and as Moonangie pointed out Novak is a 3pt specialist, one of the best in the league no real need to reinvent himself. As for Stat, I looked it up and it was his back problems he blamed on the extra 20 lbs.

Novak will never bang with the big boys.Thats like asking Allen Houston to do that back in the day.Novak is a shooter and thats his forte, leave him at that.

It's nothing like that, Houston was a complete scorer. Novak literally just shoots threes.
It's hard to see him out there looking like that,
I mean it's good he's made it to the NBA and he is so good at shooting, but I don't see why a professional athlete wouldn't want to expand his game a little bit,
And gaining strength is so stupidly simple that it blows my mind he hasn't done anything about it in all his NBA years,
Doesn't need to lose his specialty, all he can do is gain from increasing his strength

I was talking about you saying Novak should bang with the big boys, did houston bang?? NO and neither should Novak. Reading comprehension lessons 2 door down will.
Novak looks a thinner than last season, but I think that was due to him having some sort of stomach surgery in the offseason. Doesn't seem to have effected his game much, so I don't relly see what he'd gain from an extra 20lb in muscle.
Novak is what he is,leave him at that and move on.

Go to that room 2 doors down, you throw context to the wolves,
Novak is 6'10" or 11", he can box big guys out with his height and more muscle

OK Im only going to say this one time,Novak is 30 yrs old boxing out isnt part of his game. Thats like asking Amare to lose 20 lbs and be a guard,AINT GONNA HAPPEN Im done discussing this
He needs to learn to pump fake, like Kidd does.

You're focusing too much on the 'boxing out' like a blind shelther dog,
The point is that more strength is ALWAYS better, and Novak lacks physical strength,
Increasing his STRENGTH would benefit his game in ways that we cannot imagine right now, and it is a myth that he would lose his speciality shooting
Even if he stayed the same weight or just gained a few pounds, he could should be able to get much stronger. I'm amazed that a guy who's been in the NBA that long has the body he has.

Yea, exactly, I never really thought about it until you pointed it out earlier this year in the Will's GameDay Art,

I don't think he needs to worry about his knees either. Most guys who weigh much more than he does and play far more minutes are fine. You can't look at him and honestly say, "this guy better not put any more weight on - it's gonna kill his knees!"

Will, you believe what you want.Im fine with Novak as he is,just has to get that fake like was said before. As long as he has the strength to nail 3pters at a good rate Im ok with him. Next topic.
