Knicks · Top 10 NBA prospects in college from what I have seen this year (page 1)

1. Shabazz Muhammad--he is clearly pick 1. Lefty great body athletic great scorer. He needs to bring up the rebounding and passing on the next level--but he has a real chance to be a 25-5-5 player in the nBA.

2.Isiah Austin--I know he is skinny but he has the most offensive potential of any big man in this draft. He has the ability to be a franchise center and I like who is dad is. The differentiator is the weight room--if he gets in there and is 245 in 2 years--hes the best player in this draft bar none. If he doesnt put the weight on--it could be a bust. Dont let your wife tell you anything different--size matters.

3. Mason Plumlee--he has every chance to be the next Tom Chambers--unreal like athletic ability at 6-10+ runs the floor like a deer and is just touching what he can do in an all around game

4 Alex Len--simple at an athletic 7-1 240 and a solid offensive game he has all the tools to be an all star level 5 in the nBA

5 C.J. McCollum--reminds me a great deal of Steph Curry--same size a little more athletic also needs to transition to PG but has all of the tools at 6-3.

6. Nerlens Noels--best defensive player in the draft needs a lot of work on the offensive end.

7. Nate Wolters---maybe the best PG prospect in the draft--only held back by some athletic ability issues and wingspan. Plays at his own pace and is a really good passer--will be a better pro PG from a passing standpoint than his shoot first need at SD I could easily move him past McCollum if there wasnt a difference in athletic ability.

8. Cody Zeller--not a 5 which to me knocks him down to late top 10. I see him as a 4 with good skills--his he tough enough against brute nBA 4's? Should be a solid pick here.

9. Doug McDermott- Under rated Plays like a Wally Sczerbiak clone in and out.

10.Anthony Bennett-- A little Zach Randolph a little Paul Millsap== lottery pick.

I have seen some players a bit and will take a closer look at your list as you always make great finds

If anyone recalls, Vucevic, was highly praised by Brigg's prior to the draft, and was his #1 option with out need for a Center *before we had amnesty during lock out summer*
Brigg's said he would probably need a little time to develop, by his 2nd - 3rd season, and ready to contribute in a small role right away
I personally had no clue who he was still he brought the attention here to UK
He also predicted that Philly would likely pick him right before us a couple of days before the draft

is Andrew Wiggins coming and Jabari Parker coming out this draft?

We wont have any chance at these guys other than Wolters. Mcdermott will likely play 4 years and we dont need a SF anyway. In the mid 20's if Wolters were there Id take him with our PG set up. There are a few interesting players CJ Leslie MCDermott Tim Hardaway but way way way to early to see who gets hot/cold etc... just kind of giving a whats up here.

Really, you think a 21 year old with that skill set isn't even worth a second round pick??? I think this would be a great pick at 25 and lower. He would compete for back up point guard immediately.

Where do you see the center from Kansas going in the draft?

What is the NBA projection for this kid? I know he is leading shot-blocker in NCAA and is very big/long but don't know much about him otherwise.

Don't forget, we should have the King's 2nd round pick this year in addition to our 1st round pick, as part of the Nate Robinson/Bill Walker trade (top 55 protected)
*we will likely get a Euro player with this pick to stash for salary reasons, although I don't think he will be available with this pick*

If we did select this "Euro Westbrook"
It is too early to tell where he would be selected but late 1st round *could be a bust if doesn't develop well* or high/mid 2nd round *he would have great value in the 2nd round*

if we could bring him along for next season or to stash him for salary reason's
Kidd with the rest of the coaching staff/players coach would likely still be here to help develop/mentor him if brought in earlier vs saving money for salary reasons
and
Iman could possibly take JR Smith's role for next season if we cannot afford Smith

In a Perfect World

Kidd helps develop/mentor a PG with size, along with Iman Shumpert

Woodson preaches and teaches him DEF along with our players

Hopla corrects his shooting mechanics

Shumpert goes hard at him and gives him a taste of the speed/athleticism/DEF in practice of the NBA

Pablo sits on the bench with him and gives him advice on the difference of the NBA game vs Euro League's

a 2-3 year's he blow's up with practice/development or he learn's the pressure's of playing in NY/Media and crumbles

Have to handicap him compared to the C's who have growth(Freshmen and sophomores) who also have more skills--for example Austin and Len are much more advanced offensive side of the ball. Will Whitey be able to translate that one skill into the nBAS--the answer is likely but he is no lottery pick. He s a late 1 to early 2.

I also forgot to mention another player I have seen that woul;d make sense for us around our pick. Hes the C for Gonzaga but he can play off to a stretch 4. Not a great shooter by any means but has offensive game. Nice nice athlete looks like Chris Andersen and rebounds kind of li,e him with those hops but much more expanded game--big guy bouncy like a David Lee but taller. Olynyk is his name

I think you have to put Michael Carter-Williams in there somewhere. A little like JKidd coming out. Offense isn't great but that can be developed with hard work.

The PGs arent that great this year--hes top 3 in terms of Pg's but hes not J Kidd--remember how athletic and fast Kidd was?

That center for Gonzaga is going to be a lottery pick--very impressive tonight. Very athletic active with good proficiency--Id love to take a stab at him but I doubt he will be where we are.

Wow found Olynyk on NBA drafts list all the way down at 100. http://www.nbadraft.net/ranking/bigboard NO way they better get their head out of the sand. Anyone get to watch this player. Hope this rank is true--we certainly need a PF the way we are going Amare Wallace Camby if you combine their legs you have one guy at 50% we could use a long bouncy guy who can play 4-5 score some points and rebound. We wont be drafting that high, although Im know doubting we will be 25 or down. So this is a player we should keep an eye on.

as for Adam Morrision 2.0, I think we have Copeland's role on the team already

In no particular order, I think we need

--PG-- probably no more hybrids, we have Kidd at SG and Iman as the hybrid already

--PF/C-- preferably in the mode of Ibaka or Taj Gibson * a shot blocking PF that runs the court well and is mobile/athletic/long*

--SG/SF-- Kawaii Leanord/James Johnson/Marion/Gereld Wallace or Klay Thompson or Wilson Chandler/Matt Barnes, possibly 2 players at this position for JR Smith replacement

I know sometimes you must take the best player available regardless of position IF THAT PLAYER IS REALLY THAT MUCH BETTER if they are similar, draft by our needs

I think SG/SF is the easiest position the fill in FA, although we only have the Mini MLE and veteran's minimum *which is no longer scrubs with the New CBA*

Another really good player to watch for around slot 20 SG Victor Olapido Indiana---maybe best athlete or close to it in the upcoming draft but also has a really nice handle and plays 120% high motor. NBA body and athletic ability

Right now my top 5 for projected below 20 are(in nor order)

Nate Wolters PG South Dakota State
Victor Olapido SG Indiana
Kelly Olynyk C /PF Gonzaga
David Mcdermott F Creighton
Erick Green G V Tech

Pierre Jackson looks like a really good back up point guard.

Phil Pressey looks like...........lol, he looks like Chris Paul-lite.
